All is “all that” … if he’s healthy. Was my favorite TE (after Bowers). Great player at Michigan and then transferred to Iowa. Played with McNamara (QB) both places.
Better blocker than Gesicki and Hudson, and would be 2nd best receiver. Can get downfield, run after catch/break tackles. Really talented kid.
Sounds like he’s still rehabbing from ACL tear but will be available by September.

Love the player *if* he’s healthy.
He can really run, catch, block… everything. Wasn’t sure why he left Michigan because he was great there. Can get down the seam, breaks tackles.
but he’s had some terrible injury luck.

They’ve got Wilson, Pratt, Bachie and ADG back on the roster. Maybe Bailey comes back too. They have Hayward from the PS. But the increased role of STs, could def see a LB who can run show up somewhere.
Shipley is an interesting player… would be a nice weapon on 3rd down and in short yardage, too. He’s fast and catches the ball well.
Smart kid. -

Regardless of what happens today, I would like to come out of it with these 3 ...
Audric Estime, RB
Tory Taylor, P
Dallin Holker, TE
Troy Taylor was Iowa's best/most explosive offensive player, so he'd be a nice get for sure.

Lots of good names…
Van Pran-Granger would be an upgrade at C, Mason McCormick as IOL
some good CBs - Tampa, Newton, Richardson, etc.
lots of good RBs of different flavors - bangers, 3rd down types, etc.
Lots of TEs - Sanders, Stover, Theo Johnson, All (my favorite)
would expect they might use a late round pick or two to move up. -
I thought they might grab a LB yesterday because guys like Cooper and Colson were available for them. Even if they didn’t start initially, they’d be great on STs while they learned.
But I get the needs at WR and DT/NT and those guys should all play from day one.

He’s a tremendous player and he’s fearless. His deep ball skills are elite… really fun to watch. He’s got great hands.
No doubt he’s bit of a knucklehead but if he focuses on football they’ve got a nice find. They’re trusting in the WR room and in Troy Walters to show him how it’s done and keep him in check. I just hope he’s not one of those guys that gets pi$$ed at crunch time in a big game and draws a dumb a$$ penalty that hurts the team.
Just a bit surprising that they took a character risk with Burton when others like Wilson were still in the board. Burton is a better player, but he’s definitely a wild card.

He’s a load. Wasn’t surprised they picked him but surprised he went so early… thought day 3. But NT and DT was a pretty lean crop so they wanted to get in earlier.
DJ Reader was a later pick when he was drafted -5th round, I think, and he turned out quite well. it’s a wait and see for me but hope it works out.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see a day 3 pick at IDL to hopefully kick Zach Carter out of Cincinnati.
He's running out of time, for sure. Didn't like the pick at all when it happened.

I hate Zach Frazier! Fuck the stealers!!!
Knew it... great fit. Tough guy, WV kid.
Between Linderbaum and Frazier, two young centers with strong wrestling backgrounds. All the more reason to bulk up at DT. Read an article in the Dallas paper recently about him... he was down here in Texas working out at a place where Zach Martin was training and Martin was really impressed with him. -

Is he a NT or 3T or ???
Really, he can give you snaps at NT but also at 3T. Very solid pickup I think. Had a great career at Michigan.
BTW, unrelated but Commanders having a good day 2 with Johnny Newton and now another really good player... from Michigan. -
I like Jenkins a lot. Made a lot of plays for Michigan.
Smart kid, leader, can play the run well, gets upfield. Freaky strong.

Mitchell will be on the board for the Bengals and I’m curious what happens here.
Talented... Tee comp. Surprised he's still there. He fits from a size and speed standpoint.

Gimme Jenkins or Wilson.
Pitt will take Frazier... he kinda fits. -

LOL. Ratliff reference
LMAO. He was a 4.7 guy. -
Kool Aid and Lassiter both gone. DBs going fast.
-
Looking ahead to the Bengals, several DBs, the two centers, some WRs, Jenkins...
Edit: Howie knows what he's doing. Rebuild that secondary.

I forgot that Jenkins is still around... like him a lot. Can play some NT and some 3T.

DTs - Newton, Sweat, now Fisk.
Welp, let's look at DB, IOL, WR... -
Meh, I wouldn't have gone Sweat in round 2. There are a number of good guys available.
