Thanks again for doing this Jason. It is something I look forward to every to draft.

    Ditto!

[If I ever have the good fortune of winning this contest (twice lost on tiebreakers), instead of accepting your prize, I will instead direct you to give the Bengal gear to deserving kids in your own neighborhood…creating brand new Bengal fans.  I might even throw in some $ to increase your reach.] 🦗

Made a list (for my own edification) of 18 guys still on the board that I wouldn't mind the Bengals taking in Round 2 (in order of my personal  preference).  That means at least one will be there when we pick.  The should be several more there too because there were 8-10 possible 2n d rounders I didn't see as Bengals fits/  RB & WR are also positions where we could still find decent guys later, so a mini-run on those before us could hrlp with quality of need positions as well.  There's a deceny chance at least a couple are still there at 80. - maybe even 97

    DT Jer'Zahn Newton
    IOL Jackson Powers-Johnson
    NT T'Vondre Sweat
    IOL Zach Frazier
    CB Cooper DeJean
    CB Kool-Aid McKinstry
    CB Ennis Takeshaw
    WR Ladd McConkey
    WR Malachi Corley

    WR Tony Franklin
    WR Adonai Mitchell
    TE Ja'Tavion Sanders
    DT Kris Jenkins
    DT Michael Hall
    IOL Christian Haynes
    RB Jonathan Brooks
    RB Jaylen Wright
    RB Trey Benson

I’m pretty sure that we have the 17th pick in Round-2 (49th overall), so at least two of these players are guaranteed to be available.  😎

Enquirer's Kelsey Conway's image.png.041d120bc7aabfda2bda973af96bfa76.png  Three Round Mock

    Cheat Sheet:

    1. Byron Murphy

    2. Keon Coleman WR Florida State

    3.  Blake Fisher, the other Notre Dame OT

    ::::::::::::::::

the fatal error here for her like everyone else picking Byron Murphy in the first round (I, too, would love it) is he won't

    be there.

    “Fatal error”???  💀 That’s a bit harsh.

I prefer the Bengals trade back a few slots in round 1, still get a really good player and get an extra 3rd round pick; then use other draft capital to either move up in rounds 2 , 3, or 4 to get the guys they want, and/or to get even more picks in the sweet spot.

However, what is likely to happen:

SOMEONE will unexpectedly still be available at 18 that they just can’t get themselves to pass on.  “The player we have ranked 13th is still available…!!!”

We then spend the next few rounds waiting and hoping that certain players fall to us…being disappointed a time or two, and lucking out a time or two.

    …at least it won’t be fatal. 😎

It will be what it will be…and after each pick, this board will be live with discussions (and sometimes disgust) about the players that we should have taken instead.

I’m looking forward to seeing what most of you have to say…😎

The Bengals have 10 draft picks in the 2024 NFL draft with four of the first five picks coming in the top 100.

    Round 1, pick 18

    Round 2, pick 49

    Round 3, pick 80

    Round 3, pick 97 (compensatory)

    Round 4, pick 115

    Round 5, pick 149

    Round 6, pick 194

    Round 6, pick 214 (compensatory)

Round 7, pick 224 (from Arizona via trade with Houston)

    Round 7, pick 237

Strange wording.  Why not just say, “…with the first four picks coming in the top 100.” ???  🤨

The use of a certain word in this post always reminds me of The Three Amigos and this touching story:

A person had just delivered the eulogy of a dear friend, at the end, another person approached the podium and asked "Can I say a word?" The first person replied "Why certainly" The second person said "Plethora" to which the first person replied "Thanks, that means a lot" Now back to your regularly scheduled post

…and I thought of that exchange while I typed in that word.  😎
