No doubt about that, and every single person that wasn't killed would have been arrested.

Well, they caused plenty of damage, killed a few people, committed acts of arson and assaulted 100s of armed police officers yet nobody was ever mowed down and very few were arrested.  Hardly any served any time.   Seems like a strawman argument to me.

Feel that in my soul.  Still kinda nice to have an answer to "Where do they find all these stupid mfers?"

    Every accusation is a confession.

Both parties (Actually the DNC and RNC) have job interviews for every House and Senate seat they don’t possess.

Even if you run for a State House position you have to kiss the ring and ass of the state’s party Chairperson.   Grass roots political campaigns are pretty much a thing of the past and rare.  It is why both parties are afflicted with group think.

Speculation, speculation, speculation ... but that's what this board is all about.

yes, I am a Christian Westerman fan.

    How about the high road?

The conversation was something like, "Chris, we're going to cut you early so you will have a good chance of being picked up elsewhere.

But, if you're not picked up, you're the first guy back when one of the fools we kept steps on their dick." Which should take long and assuming

their isn't some dumpster dive with po-ten-shal they want to pick up until he goes on season ending IR and a full year paycheck.

    WUT??

A highly rated Guard (with high marks from PFF) is not going to simply be ignored by other teams.  He is still under contract from the Bengals, therefore teams are not beating down the door but are possibly in contact with management.  There are only a handful of reasons for not starting an individual that by all other observations and grades is a starting Guard.  Note:  We're not talking about grades from self professed experts on this board but verifiable stats from recognized experts.

For those that believe that the NFL is always based upon merit have not been paying attention.  Blackballing exists whether a fan is too blind to admit it or not.

Giving up a little over 700 thousand should make a person go hmmm...

As LeTigre would state, "Anything you say..." to which I respond, "Things a consultant might say..."   1.  I am not at liberty to say.  2.  This is above your paygrade.

Same diatribe that proclaimed AJ McCarron should be a starting QB. Funny how that worked out.   Maybe he tried to take a knee like Kap.  Yes, it was a grand conspiracy by Marvin to keep a starting caliber O lineman on the bench and start trash instead with his job on the line. That is what happened.

Guy was top shelf everywhere he was: consensus HS all-American...cream of the PAC 12 crop at guard. Never a head case/problem anywhere. His one mistake was coming here...where recently all linemen come to die.

I have a feeling that the NFL has not heard the last of Christian Westerman.

He was a 5th round pick.  That means Mr Top shelf was passed by every team at least 4 times before ending up in Cincy.  He was a borderline backup on the perhaps the worst o line in the NFL. He and AJ McCarron were robbed.

Holy shit, almost $5M for Cushing?!  Is this counting missed game checks or does he actually owe $4,956,250 in fines on top of that?

Note that Shazier isn't on here so IDK how accurate this thing really is

Shitzier is appealing so its not set in stone yet.

Yes, taking away a game check, money that is owed to you is considered a fine.  Where else can an employer take your pay away other than major league sports and the military?

He definitely has a point.  However, he needs to come up off them sour grapes.  In the end, it wont do he a damn bit of good.

My point would be his hit was far less egregious than this one.  Shitzier is blatantly going for a knock out blow to the head on a QB who has clearly entered into the "You can't hit me slide."  There is NO way he escapes some kind of punishment.  If the league really cares about stopping these CTE/Concussion producing hits like they claim then he should sit a few games.

Burfict pointing it is great because we have 2 different sets of tape and the league will have a hard time explaining away a slap on the wrist.   Shitzier's intention was pretty obvious.

Are you sure about that?  I thought intentionally targeting a player's head was a foul, period, since 2-3 years ago at least.

For those keeping score, neither Mitchell nor Shazier have ever served an NFL suspension.

The rule back then had to do with "Defenseless players" and running backs facing up field were not considered defenseless. Also, there was not targeting (head) penalty back then but there was in college.   Still, every player understands that its bullshit to try and hit another guy in the helmet at full force like Shitzier did.

And T-Dub, if Shazier doesn't get something for this (games on sofa) then I will become a member of the conspiracy camp.

Good for him!! Technically legal hit by Shazier?? Well I guess the pieces of shit found another loophole in the rules. Stay tuned for yet another rule implementation by the end of the season. Can anyone guess who will be the first example they make towards it??

Not sure how it can be a technically legal hit regardless of who the QB is.  If he is giving himself up, you can't hit him.

  10. Well, season starts in a few hours, few days for us.  Time for the latest and greatest season predictions:

    SF2:  9-7

Just don't see much shit on the schedule like last year.  Oakland away the first game  should be our easiest game but its the first game, the Oakland fans will still have hope so the place will be rocking and we don't play well in the home openers under Marvin anyways.  After that besides maybe Cleveland and San Fran at home, it looks pretty formidable.

I see each AFC North team down a win this season.
