He's bringing recruits and word is John Wall will be heading to UK.

Looking more and more like it's going to be John Cal... He'd be able to instantly bring two top recruits (too lazy to look them up) that would be enough to make Kentucky a very good team next year. He's certainly earned his reputation, but he's never been in trouble at Memphis, so as long as he' stays out of trouble, and I have no reason to think he would at Kentucky, then he'd be a great hire in terms of results on the court.

Wasn't Billy D going to become the Magic coach, not the Heat? Not that it matters much. But on the Calipari note - word is the Memphis Tigers make more for playing basketball than the Memphis Grizzlies, if ya know what I mean.

I have a feeling you guys will end up with Travis Ford. Most people will be upset, but I think he'll do much better than Billy G. He'll make all the off-court inroads that Billy G seemed socially unable to do. I remember hearing something about how the UK coach has addressed some rotary club (maybe it was something else?) before every season since the 1950's and Gillispie just blew it off and downplayed its importance. Ford will be much more adroit at handling everything off the court, and I think he's a better basketball coach anyway. I guess the real question is can he consistently recruit, he's never had to do that at a "BCS," nevermind a school like UK, school for an extended period of time.

What a terrible year for the SEC in college hoops. It's like every program is having a down year at once.

Big East is going to be brutal this year. We're shooting for 10 teams in the tournament. Seton Hall just beat #20 USC last night, which just goes to show how deep we are when a basement dweller is beating one of the better Pac-10 teams.

I think Kentucky just doesn't have the talent, straight up. They'll be an #8 - 10 seed in March, at best.

Not saying your season is shot or anything close to it, but for me that would be a red flag for Gillispie's coaching ability. Not showing up early for teams you have no business losing to is not good.

They out-rebounded and out-blocked us, and they're obviously playing with confidence.

this game is painful to watch, you guys are gettin whooped btw, wtf is up with Vandy's court? Why have the benches in near the baskets and not on the side? I see it's obviously not a conventional arena but there's still room on the sidelines for chairs...
