I seem to recall I was bashed on here saying the Bengals should've drafted a TE. Yea, we didn't need one.
Cheer up. Clapton just got bashed for saying asshole Kelce is an asshole.

Just an interesting FYI…Pro-bowl center Jason Kelce was a linebacker when he started at UC.
Ken Riley was a quarterback and ended up a Hall of Fame cornerback.

Wonder if PB would have thought Jmarr Chase looks like a RB??.
😊
I actually wonder what, besides cut him on the spot, Paul Brown would do with
Jackson Carman? Blocking tight end? (although I think free agent pick up Cody Ford is
doing some of that) or even short yardage bowling ball full back... if he can hold on to the ball?

Sad we can't acquire a good TE
Hudson has to step up this year.
I dunno bout him.
On third and four at least he knew to run a 5-6 yard route
unlike Irv Smurf who would go down at 3.
I liked Hudson.
Sadly, I don't think we can address Tight End this year unless
we pull a Paul Brown* and draft someone at another position and
convert him to tight end.
*Paul Brown was famous for drafting people at one position
and converting them to another. Booby Clark was a tight end
PB saw and said "he looks like a running back" and viola

Watched both games and thought could you imagine what Burrow could do with the kind of time Mahomes and Goff had most of the game?
I didn't watch the games but I think about how much time Kenny Anderson and Boomer had behind those Munoz and Friends O lines.
Just imagine Joe behind them.
Makes you want to cry...
Hoping for a good draft this year.
And Christmas. Which ever comes first.

Yeahhh he just doesn't extend plays though, you know?
I would much prefer it if he did not extend plays by scrambling for his life
but rather by sitting behind a killer strong offensive line.

Here’s a fun bit of Cincinnati Bengals trivia with a current flair — a former player is now an offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons.
In recent days the Falcons announced Zac Robinson in that role, bringing him over from the Los Angeles Rams.
Robinson was a former seventh-round pick in 2010 who wound up with the Bengals in 2011, remaining there through the 2013 season on the practice squad and otherwise before beginning his coaching journey in Los Angeles in 2019.
:::::::::::::::::::::
:::::::::::::::::::::We all remember Zac Robinson, right? Right? Any one? Right? Hello?
Yeah, me neither.
Carry on

Have to hope someone pays him LT money because you know the Bengals will make an offer
OMG... I certainly hope not if for no other reason than he can't play with the big boys
and there's a hella lot of them in our division.

Not going to happen this year.
Bowers won't drop that low, Bengals would not trade up to get him and
if available I would prioritize other needs above him/
This Kelly Girls Temp Agency Rent-A-Player free agency crap isn't working, either.
Wait 'til next year when (hopefully) wide receiver/tight end will be our top draft priorities.

Go anybody and everybody except the Ravens.

And when the Bengals beat them to go to the Super Bowl, Mahomes told him
"Go win it all".
That sticks in my brain and means a lot to me.

nice write up on potential receivers. Not sure if they will go after a Tee replacement - X or Tyler replacement Z. The guys who stand out are Brian Thomas Jr. (Think more souped up Tee) and Adonai Mitchell or Isaiah Williams (looks like a smaller Tyler).
I think it will be a day two pick unless Odunze slips or if they fall in love with Thomas Jr. Just thinking about how they like to get Jamarr in the Z spot, I would imagine they wouldn’t want a piece that would lock him into the boundary - so likely not only a guy who can play Z.
I don't even want to think about a wide receiver esp high this draft.
Next year (yeah, too soon) go for one REAL early.

TWO more draft choices!
The Bengals Powers That Be must be downright giddy.

Further down in the article Brylcreem Mel mentions DTs Jer’Zhan Newton (Illinois) and T’Vondre Sweat (Texas) still available.
Be really hard to pass on esp Newton and going O line in the second round. Or... Free Agency "because we're Bengals, son".

So I'd expect Posin Ivy back by mid season?
I would like that and with no lingering affects of the injury.
that kind of stuff scares me.

Despite investing millions of dollars into the offensive line with free agents like Orlando Brown Jr., Alex Cappa, and Ted Karras, the Bengals have struggled at protecting Joe Burrow and Jake Browning. No shit and the emperor has no clothesWhile they played better down the stretch, Burrow was already gone for the season, and it didn’t really matter anymore.
So could the Bengals possibly land Joe Alt? Or could they be looking at Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Taliese Fuaga, JC Latham, or Amarius Mims when they go on the clock with the No. 18 overall pick?
Or could they pass on an offensive tackle in the first round? We shall see.

Happy Birthday Bengals First Round Draft bust Pete Koch.
Body builder so muscle bound he could tear a muscle tying his shoe.
Went into movies and achieved some degree of fame, I guess.
