I hope the owners don't fart around on this. The Sacramento Kings former owners were talking behind the city's back when it came to moving the team, even though up front they were saying they wanted to stay in Sacramento. It took a miracle to keep them here, and we have one of the most awesome arenas in the NBA now. Too bad the Kings suck.

That would be me. I hope to god I am wrong but so far, I don't believe what Taylor has been saying would change has actually changed yet. So until they either make changes or go out and win those games, I don't trust them yet.
Yah I am saying the same. Either 1-3 or 2-2 start. Leaning towards 2-2 though if we lose to Cleveland because people will be pissed and let Burrow and the rest know they are pissed.

Yeah, it is a little worrisome if Mims spends a lot of time there.
I had this friend who loved to gamble. He would sneak into the out of the way slots when he was 16 or so. He would wear a cap and glasses and carry around an empty beer bottle.
He never grew out of it, and he loses way more than he wins at casinos. The funny thing is that he posts all of his big wins on facebook, but never says anything about the amount of money he loses prior to getting the win. Last time I went with him he won a $3000 jackpot, and posted it to social media. He never mentioned the 10k he dropped prior.

I think as of right now we would all agree that Anthony Munoz is still the greatest Bengals player ever. But....
I think both Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase could eventually surpass him.
What would they have to do to do that? Is that something they can achieve while still active players, or will it only be acknowledged after they are elected to the Hall?
I often see questions on social media who is "your team's"/the Bengals greatest player. And my response is always Anthony Munoz for now, but Joe Burrow is coming on fast. Today I added Ja'Marr.
Thoughts?
Agree, and this is why I have this! I have two Ken Anderson Rookies, and probably more than 100 Joe Burrow rookies, and 75 or so Ja'marr Chase rookies. You should see my collection of football/baseball/basketball cards. I could open a store and not have to worry about inventory for a very long time.

Was Paycor built on the cheap? It's 25 years old or there about, but aren't football stadiums supposed to last 30-40 years? It would suck if the Bengals moved. They need to sell the dang team to someone with limitless $$$$$.
People are all pissy about the city paying for part of a new arena because of how rich the NFL is. I would NOT die on that hill if I were a Bengal fan. I have already been through something like this living in Sacramento. We almost lost our Kings to the crappiest city in the USA (other than Portland), Seattle... I don't have a tie to Cincinnati at all, but after going through the whole arena thing in Sacramento I wouldn't wish that fight on anyone.
Being that Sacramento has two pro teams at the moment (We have the A's for 3 or 4 years), and are financing a stadium for MLS soccer, (to move the Sacramento Republic FC up to MLS level) I don't see a reason why they wouldn't make it dual purpose if there was an NFL team looking to move (not the Bengals though). We have the least amount of pro teams for how big our media market is. If the Las Vegas stadium deal dies then we are set to build a stadium for the A's to stay in Sacramento. Maybe we could get the Cardinals or something. Arizona doesn't appreciate them.

Maybe he holds on to the ball too long because every possession has to end in a TD when his defense can't stop anybody.
I agree.. Hoping we addressed some of our defensive issues this year. The last 5 games we averaged 18.8 points defensively, and the first 12 we averaged 28.8 points a game.
If we had a middle of the road defense we would finish at worst 13-4 I believe. Maybe 12-5 or 11-6 if Burrow keeps starting the season slowly. I hope they play Burrow and the offense a lot more in the pre-season because I hate the way we have started the season the last 2 years.

7 total penalties in ‘24. 4 of them holding. In 10 starts.
Not horrible.. Not the best, but not horrible either.
He's a decent run blocker from what I read, and about an average pass defender, but with Burrow and how long he holds the ball he's going to get sacked a lot every year.. Let's hope if Burrow turns into Andrew Luck that he wins before retiring.

Thank God.. Now let's get get a defense and be 17-0 next year. Burrow absolutely needs to play in the pre-season as well. I HATE these 1-3 starts we seem to get into at the start of the year. How about going 4-0 and then have that stretch of 6 games where we go 3-3 and then win the rest and lock up the #1 seed at 14-3..

Small fish compared to Tee and others
I don't think it is. The guy we had before him was a disaster. I knew he was not going to be any good, and the guy probably cost us a game or two with his worst in league punting. He was touted for inside 20 and hangtime, but when compared to NFL players he was still bottom of the league for what he was actually good at. So glad he's gone.

When our defense gets worse Burrow and the rest will go away. God damn I hate the cheap owners of the Bengals. I have always hated the cheap owners of the Bengals. Being a Sacramento Kings fan since about 1990 I went through about 23 years of having cheap owners, Jim Thomas, and then the Maloofs. At least now we have a multi billionaire ownership group who is willing to pay top dollar for decent players. The Browns should be kissing the King's ownership group's feet for singlehandedly making professional teams go up like 75% overnight. This makes the Browns Billionaires as well, and they should leverage some of this to make the freaking players happy and WANT to play in Cincy. Freaking Sacramento would be protesting if they were about to let go a guy like Hendrickson and would ride them out on a rail. DeAaron Fox was not a huge loss for the Kings, because Devin Carter is killing it in the G league, and Keon Ellis is turning into a amazing 3 and D PG which Fox would have never been because he can't shoot a 3pt shot, and his defense has gotten worse over the years. Keon is an elite level defender and can actually shoot when needed (which he isn't needed to all the time because we literally have a team that can put up 130 whenever they want.
If you told the 4 year old me right before the 1981 superb owl (I am going to leave this auto correct, but I meant Super Bowl) when I became a Bengal fan because I would always pick the opposite team my dad likes (Dodger fan, and he's a Giants fan. I was a Laker fan when he's a Kings fan, but I couldn't stay a Laker fan after about 1990 because I got to go to a lot of Kings games living in Sacramento, and I fell in love with them.)
So yah, that's how I became a Bengal fan at 4 years old when I went against my dad's favorite team the 49ers in the first Super Bowl I watched. I became die hard Bengal fan in 1985 when the Bengals Beat the Cowboys 50-24. We didn't see many Bengal games in Sacramento, but this game was the game of the week and I was supposed to ride my bike to my friends house down the street to play, but I saw the game on and was glued to the TV. In 1989 I cried when the Bengals lost the SB.

We got to go D with the first and second picks. Our defense is what held us out of the playoffs. If we had a "middle of the road" defense as seen in the last 5 games we would be a hard team to beat. 322, 374, 273, 329, 193 = 298 yards per game /// Before that the prev 12 games teams avg 370 yards per game. The D allowed 18.8 points per game in the last 5 and the first 12 our D gave up 28.8 points per game. Our run defense never really did anything good this year, but our pass D got really good in the last few games. So lets get some defensive linemen that can stop the run.

DEFENSE, and more DEFENSE. I am so mad that we wasted the best QBs best season so far. I am afraid that Burrow will want to leave if we don't fix things, and I do not trust in the ownership to even want to spend money, even though (Thanks to the Sacramento Kings sale) professional teams have like tripled in value over the past 10 years. It all started with the bidding war for the Sac Kings.

Would Mike Brown let Tee walk to show Joe who's still calling the shots?
I would hope not, because being a dick and pulling the "I have more money than you" is the first thing to lose friends, and players over. Mike Brown is (Thank you t the Sacramento Kings) the owner of a team worth more than 4 billion.
Reason I said thanks to the Kings is because when they were sold about 10 years ago there was a bidding war, and the Kings franchise went for more than any other team sold EVER. It basically inflated the net worth of team owners by 100%-500% if not more. The ridiculous prices for a pro sports team started when the Kings were sold. So spend some money Brown! geez.. I know it's a business but usually people don't own teams to make money but in the last decade I guess it worked, and all owners got that boost in franchise net worth. Kings were worth about $600,000,000 before they sold 10 years ago, and now the Kings are wortth 4.11 BILLION. 4,110,000,000

Even if we do not get in, today is still a good day to be a Bengals fan. This holds true any time we beat the Stealers.
Yah. I cannot imagine KC or Buffalo wanting us in the playoffs. We would play Buff first, then KC after. Probably Baltimore after that. Chargers will probably get Houston, and the Squeelers will get Baltimore. Baltimore beats Squeelers and say if we are in it we will beat Buffalo and then being the worst record team we would get KC. The last two wins by KC over the bengals were because of 4th down penalties giving them a "do over" which pisses me the fuck off. If we were to make it to the AFC championship game we would play Baltimore, Pittsburg, Chargers, or Texans. We wouldn't play Buff or KC since they are 1 and 2 and we would get 2 in the WC game, and 1 in the divisional game.
Since KC won the best record in the AFC they should pick who they play in the divisional playoff game. Guarantee you they would not pick the Bengals. They would rather play any team left before playing the Bengals.

I hate our ownership group.. I really do hate them. They seem to go out of their way to keep the Bengals in the cellar. If anyone in that group reads this, then please, STOP FUCKING AROUND! Quit making agents and players hate you!!!
