Carman, Adeniji, Smith, Hill, even Volson. Have been seriously under---welmed by the development of drafted OL assets he has received. The team has spent a shit ton on the OL in Free Agency without the kind of improvement you would expect. Time for a change? Gotta protect "The Franchise" better.

- Bengals like SEC guys
- He was projected to go in the 4th Rd (over drafting as I talked about)
- Has great measurables and athleticism
- He adds good depth on the edge and a cheap contract.
- I like the potential of this one more than some of the other recent picks.
Good value.

I'd have gone Mahogany and Limmer in the 6th round and been much happier.

Meh. Passes the looks test, but where's the production/consistency. May make it on Teams. Don't see him as much of an upgrade over Jeff Gunter, IMO (much less anyone ahead of him)' C/G Beaux Limmer (picked right after him would've been a much better use of the pick.

I like McLachlan more than I do All.

Not a bad draft so far, but I was hoping they'd address the interior OL. I despise our OL depth and would've loved a C/G and possibly a G/T.

I'd go Christian Mahogany (OG) Boston College

Bit of a disappointment this year, but probably the number 2 "true" NT in the draft. If they can motivate and develop him, Jackson could eventually be a decent 2-down nose with Jenkins sliding over on passing downs

Ja'Tavion Sanders?

Corley, Frazier, Haynes or Sanders

Made a list (for my own edification) of 18 guys still on the board that I wouldn't mind the Bengals taking in Round 2 (in order of my personal preference). That means at least one will be there when we pick. The should be several more there too because there were 8-10 possible 2n d rounders I didn't see as Bengals fits/ RB & WR are also positions where we could still find decent guys later, so a mini-run on those before us could hrlp with quality of need positions as well. There's a deceny chance at least a couple are still there at 80. - maybe even 97
DT Jer'Zahn Newton
IOL Jackson Powers-Johnson
NT T'Vondre Sweat
IOL Zach Frazier
CB Cooper DeJean
CB Kool-Aid McKinstry
CB Ennis Takeshaw
WR Ladd McConkey
WR Malachi CorleyWR Tony Franklin
WR Adonai Mitchell
TE Ja'Tavion Sanders
DT Kris Jenkins
DT Michael Hall
IOL Christian Haynes
RB Jonathan Brooks
RB Jaylen Wright
RB Trey Benson- 1

That is a great draft. I wouldnt mind seeing them taking Sweat at 80 because it is such a big need.

194. McGlothern (CB) Arkansas
214. Jackson (DT) TAMU

18. Mims (OT( UGa
49. Frazier (IOL) WVU
80. Legette (WR) USCj.
97. Sweat (NT) Texas

God I hope so. Throw in a DT or two and I'm ecstatic.
Need a big tubba goo to stop the run. Tons of red flags for Sweat, but I'd love to see him drop to 80 or 97.

Still wouldn't shock me to see a C/G in the next 4 picks.

I'm just curious how they are thinking short and long term with this pick.
Best thing for Mims his rookie season? Good health for the Brown twins. let him develop for 2025.

I'll take it. Can Pollard develop him well enough?.

Mims or CB. Biggest winners of first round? Blonde chicks.

However unlikely it is, I'd love to snag Murphy @ #18 and miraculously find one of the RT's ranked above Morgan fall into our laps at #49. Another goal would be to come out of the draft with a RT and a IOL that could both be ready to be solid starters by 2025. If they keep all 10 picks (unlikely?) I'd be fine with an RT, a G/T and a C/G at some point. I'm not fond at all of our OL depth.
