His many chances at different schools also speaks to the obvious talent he has. Multiple championship teams were glad to have him and he transferred into Alabama and was their leading WR last year right away.

The only way Duke and Co draft him with so many other "safer WR" options on the board is if they think he's head and above the rest and it's not even close. I would guess deep down Zac thinks Burton is at least as good as Tee, perhaps even better (we will see).

Burrow hasn't really had a 'deep ball' specialist since he's been here - even though Chase is great at it. So this has the potential to really open up the passing game.

Burrow's problem with the deep ball has primarily been in the OL. He rarely has the time to throw the deep ball

Once again we didn't draft a single starter. One starter from last year's draft. We're not getting impact players from our drafts

Here is a quote from Kirby Smart about the inexperience of Mims:

"I think the eight career starts is a mistake," Smart told reporters during Georgia's Pro Day on Wednesday, March 13. "What does that matter if you block Travon Walker, Nolan Smith, Robert Beal your whole career... Would you rather have a guy who's played 27 games and played against nobody or somebody who played against first-round draft picks every day at practice? I know which one I'm picking. ... He's uber-talented. He's going to play a long time [in the NFL]."

We're not seriously going to brag about who you played against in practice, are we?

Rumors are saying Russell Wilson will take the vet minimum with his next teams since Denver owes him $39M.  I sounds like the Stealers are interested.  I really hope not.

Of course he'll take the league minimum. If a team paid him more, it wouldn't affect him. It'd just mean less money that the Broncos had to pay. I don't think he gets to keep both salaries

Wilson is guaranteed 39 million from the Broncos this year (subject to offset). They'll cut him before the date early in the league year where they would have to guarantee him another 35 mil for 2025.

The oddsmakers have Pittsburgh as the favorite to sign him. Wilson's floor is certainly higher than Pickett's.

George Paton should have been fired as the Denver GM after trading for Wilson, extending him on a bloated contract (which didn't even start until 2024), and hiring Paul Hackett. Sean Payton is a good coach but he's mishandled the QB he inherited. Now Denver has cap problems, are short of players on rookie deals, and need a new QB. Not good.

It's not that easy for Denver. They can't swallow his cap hit of $85mill if they cut him in March. It looks like Pitt was never interested in him. They're in quite a pickle

Wilson actually played pretty well last year. He had a 26-8 TD/Int ratio.

You gotta look deeper than the stats. His head coach is paid to do exactly that and he wants Wilson gone. He saw the film where Wilson couldn't see the field and wide open receivers weren't seeing the ball. It'll be interesting to see if any team is interested in Russell Wilson and if so, who eats what in salary

I read Baltimore is expecting some heavy losses in free agency.  The list includes their starting RB, both starting OG, multiple WR, and a bunch on defense, including Queen, Clowney, and Geno Stone.  They are expected to franchise Madubuike if they can’t get a deal done but otherwise don’t have much cap space.

I'm amazed that Baltimore didn't pick up Queen's $12mill option for 2024. He's a former 1st rd pick. Real easy to keep him around for another year

There are two thoughts here. Staying in house allows the team to not have to completely rewrite the playbook which can slow down a team's progress. The 2nd is what you said, new fresh ideas can prevent stagnation.

The question is the offense stagnant? I'm not sure I believe it is, so I think Pitcher makes the most sense.

But yes, it's not the end of the world if he leaves.

I think the offense can use a refresher. Have you noticed how our offense looks vs our rivals in the division? It seems like they know exactly what we're doing. No separation for the receivers
