Burrow has better field vision and is more mentally tough than any quarterback I've ever seen
Those are the intangibles that hubby wants to ignore completely.

Hubby is still saying the Bengals should have taken Herbert instead of Burrow and I keep telling him no because of Burrow's intangibles.
Therefore, since he keeps talking Herbert up, this does not break my heart.
Plus, the Chargers have no defense.

Great post. How many times have we seen the run game work at the beginning of the game and then they go away from it?
Also, Zac Taylor said that a lot of the plays are RPO plays. How much of the running game issue is truly play calling and how much is Burrow optioning into a pass play?
I think, maybe this week, we will see how the run game truly is, BUT it's going to be tough to run against Pisspuke so maybe not. I imagine that with Browning, they will call more runs, but maybe not against the Squeelers' banged up secondary.
Before yesterday's Browns-Squeelers game, my hubby was saying that instead of trying to run to let DTR settle in, that the Browns should throw more intermediate passes because the Squeelers' run defense is good. Even though the Browns only scored 13 points, it was enough. Maybe we should try that?

Good defense, run the ball…they can definitely be had.
Even with a no-name QB
Ryan Finley, anyone? 😂

Does he think DTR has any value? I know my CFT relative fans have mixed reviews
He’s curious to see what he can do.

This OL just got waived in Philly. Maybe we could pick him up. He was a first round draft pick.

Actually sort of curious with this CFT-Stealer match today.
CFT going with DTR (but may sign Flacco tomorrow?).
See if they can beat up the Stealers a bit?
It’s either this game, or finishing up with leaves.
I’ll be in the living room when hubby watches the game but my full attention won’t be on the game.

More Cincinnati football history:
And we thought some of the ‘90s Bengals teams were bad. Sheesh! 😉

For all the jawing that goes on between the fan bases of these 3 teams, some good 😊 comes out of it. ❤️ -

Squeelers get to play DTB next and Browning twice ... because of injuries
Sad, right? And the only one the Squeelers was directly involved in was the Nick Chubb injury.

Perfect. Perfect end to a perfectly shitty day. I’m currently holed up in what hubby calls my “ she cave” in my pajamas and I’ve already started drinking. 😥😳

Lost in the wash...
How is Cam Taylor-Britt? The forgotten man on the injury report.
I was wondering that myself.

Right? Gambling is an entirely different game, and no NFL decision should ever be made on behalf of gamblers.
My thoughts exactly.

Still holding my breath on how bad the Burrow injury is and how long he'll be out...on the hand, the leaves are piling up in my yard and my garage is a f-ing mess
No game on Sunday should help with that.

Haven't we knocked out OBJ for the year the last 3 times he's played us? (Super Bowl, last year's Cleveland game and last night)
If I were him, the next time he plays us, I would be like "Nope."

Straighten out the running game we are last in the league
We ran the ball better last night than we have in games past, and ran the ball better on the Ravens than their season average allows, even after Burrow exited the game and the Ravens knew we would be running the ball. It seems like we run effectively early in the game and then go away from it, which makes me wonder how much truth there is to the statement that Taylor made about Burrow optioning out of the run.

Tonight was a nightmare.
And maybe a season killer.
The only thing I care about is Burrow's MRI and x-rays.
And CTB’s. I would hate to see him out for an extended time, too.

At least it sounds like we have been able to run the ball well.

I’ve had issues all night trying to watch this game online. Kind of glad now. 😬☹️

DJ Ivey, maybe? Especially since I haven't heard anything additional about CTB's injury.
