    And the Blue Jackets??

Son and I like the Blue Jackets. Hubby isn't a real big fan. He calls the inability of the Blue Jackets to make it past the first round of the playoffs "The Curse of no Plan B".

It has to do with the county's efforts to have the taxpayers pay for an arena when Columbus was wooing the NHL for a franchise. They kept threatening that there was "No Plan B" if the voters didn't approve a levy. Voters voted it down (for the 4th time) and the day after the election, surprise! Nationwide agreed to fund an arena. (Which now taxpayers are paying for anyway through casino tax revenues.) :(

But you really don't want me to get started on the Columbus mayor or City council. Trust me.

There cannot be a real explanation. I always wondered why there were so many more of them in Columbus than our side (or Dayton for that matter). Some of it was likely “my Dad loved them so I do too.” Also THE imports half of the college-age population each year from NE Ohio. When they graduate/drop out, they tend to stay in the area—hence their allegiance remains as well.

The Cleveland Football Team does, it appears, have more actual “fans”…because their gear or names certainly isn’t driving anything.

Hubby came down to go to OSU and son falls into the category of "My dad loves them so I do, too." Same with the Cavs and Guardians.

***** This is exactly why they did it.  Trying to exploit what they perceive as a Bengal weakness.

Yes.  Beating the top team in the division twice will go a long way to getting them in the playoffs and keeping us out.

And this guy will help win a few more of their games too.

This is what hubby and the son are hoping for. Browns are going all in this year before they have to gut the team to pay Watson in future years.

Aren't you going to be sick that day?  I think it's just a 24 hr. bug, nothing too serious.  They say lots of rest and watching television around 4:25p Eastern really helps one feel better with this type of thing.  I'm not a doctor, but trust me.

I think I'm going to be sick that day, too. At least we'll have New Years' Day and the weekend to recover.

I'm glad that it doesn't look like they're going to play Christmas Eve.

She was on point with calling out the league for the whole coin flip for home field with Baltimore bullsh*t, that's for sure. The dirtiest team (by far) whining about Burfict was of course, ridiculous. There's an endless list (Palmer's knee, Huber's jaw, Gio's neck, Eifert's head, etc, etc, etc.) of things that should have been addressed. Spilt milk, for sure. Always bugged the sh*t out of me though. Now some fresh quotes from the Pissburgh Jackals about their desire to field goons, just need to instruct the new guys to keep it on the down low? Would love Katie (or anyone in the FO) to get in front of it. Let em know, Homie Don't Play That. Not anymore.

She is on the competition committee so she will have opportunities to do this.

The reality is the word about what actually went down last year has probably spooked most of the owners.  The rumors are he probably could have played that playoff game but chose not to. Can you imagine Burrow or Mahomes sitting out a playoff game unless they were missing a limb?

I couldn't see them sitting out a playoff game even if they were missing a limb. LOL!

I think her sister's boyfriend is the source of the problem, dude is a POS criminal...https://casetext.com/case/united-states-v-brewer-37

I don't know Joe or his family but having a career criminal like this hanging around you and your family doesn't normally work out for the best...I hope those kids are going to be fine...

Joe's going to have one hell of a lawsuit on his hands because of this idiot shooting at kids, he might get taken for everything he's worked for.

So wait a minute. The dude was only 24, but he was convicted of his first crime in 2003, when he was only 3 or 4 years old, and arrested for murder when he was 8 or 9 years old? Something isn’t adding up here.
