This is my list of players who aren't getting any hype but had great senior years playing real football. They may not be the best at working out in shorts or they didn't have a good week at a college all-star game, but during the actual 2005 season these guys performed at the highest levels.

RB Jerome Harrison
Broke Ruebens Mayes' school record for yards in a season with 1,900 and in 2005. A consensus All-American and top 10 finisher in Hesiman Trophy balloting. He rushed for 100-plus yards in all 11 games in 2005 as well as the last three of 2004 to set the Pac-10 record for consecutive 100-yard games. Burst onto the scene in final five games of his junior season (2004; finished year with 900 rushing yards and nine TDs and named All-Pac-10 honorable mention.
Natural runner with good balance...Very quick with a burst...Always keeps his legs and feet moving...Breaks a lot of tackles...Plays bigger and faster than he is...Has good hands and is a receiving threat...Can also return kicks...Very productive.

Weaknesses:
Lacks ideal size...Timed speed is below average...Needs to get stronger...Will dance too much and needs to hit the hole faster...Only played two seasons of big time college football...Upside might be limited due to his physical shortcomings.

HARRISON'S WSU CAREER JUNIOR (2004-05): V-letter...Games - 11...Starts - 5...earned the following weekly team awards: Pac-10 Offense - Oregon/Oregon State/UCLA/ASU, Cougar Claw Offense - Stanford. Special Teams: KO returns...named to the All-Pacific-10 Conference honorable mention unit...nationally, ranked 51st in rushing yards with 81.82/game, 64th in all-purpose yards with 106.09/game...in Pac-10 rankings, finished 6th in rushing, 6th in all-purpose yards and tied for 7th in scoring at 4.9 points/game...led WSU with 900 yards rushing...at UCLA, carried a school record 42 times, gained 247 yards and scored three touchdowns; yardage total was the third most ever by a Cougar running back...named Pac-10 Co-Offensive POW for performance in win at UCLA...in the last three games rushed for 515 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 172 yards per game...averaged 118.4 rushing yards over the last seven games...had four games of 100 yards or more, including the last three...had a break-out game against Oregon, picking up 117 yards and scoring once with 14 carries...also caught two passes against the Ducks...made his first start at Oregon State, replacing the injured Chris Bruhn...responded with 20 carries for 98 yards and one score...also returned kickoffs, including three for 59 against Colorado...scored a rushing TD in each game during a five-game stretch, Idaho through OSU...keyed WSU's Apple Cup win over Washington with 150 yards rushing. PERSONAL: Jerome Harrison...born Feb. 26, 1983...parents Jerome and Debbie Purcell...has two sisters interested in pursuing communication degree.
Harrison reminds me of a Rudi Johnson type of guy. He went to a JUCO for 2 years and got an opportunity late in Jr. year, he responds by rushing for 2,800 yards and 25 td's starting in only 16 games. Scouts think he has a limited upside and he will probably be a 3rd-6th round pick, but I think if he gets a chance to play in the NFL he will be successful.

Robinson is another guy who flat out produced when given the opportunity, I would love to see him on our roster. Despite leading is conference in tackles and being named the defensive player of the year in his conference(Pac 10) Robinson is predicted to be a 4th round pick. It will be interesting to see how his pro career turns out.

The Eagles are known for having a draft theory based on production more than potential. They draft guys that produce instead of workout warriors and guys who live on "potential". It will be interesting to see if they take either of these guys.

Was this before or after they drafted Mike Mamula(sp?). I remember he slaughter the combine but completely sucked once they actually, ya know, played some football. Regardless, I believe that production should out-weigh combine workouts, draft "gurus" hype, and college all-star games.

Funny thing about the draft is that, once it is over it is pretty much meaningless. Getting drafted doesn't guarantee success, which is something that I believe gets forgotten around this time of the year. Players should realize that regardless of were they get drafted or if they get drafted they need to work even harder to be successful in the NFL.

Here's another:

WR Mike Hass, Oregon State

He has good size (6'1 210) and was one of the most productive recievers in college.

2003: 44 REC 1013 YDS 7 TD
2004: 86 REC 1379 YDS 7 TD
2005: 90 REC 1532 YDS (led NCAA) 6 TD

Yet most sites have him listed as a 3rd or 4th round prospect.
