|Montana Bengal|
I've actually 'chatted' with Go about this , but I'm just curious if anyone else has tried Ting and what they have thought. https://ting.com/ I am currently using data only on my work and home network - and it helps that we don't use very many minutes a month anyway. Bartledoo
I'd be interested to see if anyone uses it. The majority of my calls are Verizon to Verizon, so they don't count against my usage anyway. I use a lot of data and text though. Right now I'm still under my original unlimited plan with Verizon, but it expires in June and then I have to go to a data package.
|Montana Bengal|
Right now we are on Verizon, but I want to be able to use a smartphone (without a data plan) - I like that I can purchase the phone and 'pay as we go' with Ting. Only problem is we would constantly roam on Sprint (and Verizon?) up here. There is no data roaming where I'm at. Isn't terrible and is pretty clear. I am actually playing with using google voice and grooveip to place free calls via the phone & wifi at home. I'm going to test it for a couple of months (because it is cheap) and then we'll see if we have our numbers ported over. I do have to give a shot out to Go because he has always been super helpful with all cell related questions.
