Arkansas Bengal
Dave Clark, Cincinnati Enquirer Sun, Oct 29, 2023, 6:54 PM CDT·1 min read Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo CBS analyst Tony Romo was impressed with Sunday's effort from the Cincinnati Bengals in San Francisco on both sides of the ball, and he spoke glowingly about Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo during the broadcast. "This defense, I told you, when it gets to the fourth quarter, they get better," Romo said late in the fourth quarter of the Bengals' 31-17 Week 8 win. "Lou Anarumo, you are gonna be a head coach next year. I'm telling everyone in the NFL. He stands out to me." "A lot of people thought (Anarumo) had the Arizona (head-coaching) job last year," play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz added. The Bengals' defense allowed 324 passing yards by Niners quarterback Brock Purdy, but many of them came in garbage time with the Bengals leading comfortably.
