  1. One of the things we've learned from this brief season is that Joe Burrow was, is and always will be the entire offense... unless, perhaps, they ditch Zac *or* force him to pass off the offensive play calling to someone else (probably not Callahan, he has to be part of the problem, right?). The fact of the matter is I'm perfectly ok with Joe being the be-all, end-all. I've pictured Joe as a future Peyton Manning type since I started paying attention to him during his last college season (meaning I saw him as a guy who was going to call his own plays eventually). Just get the kind of offensive coaches who will teach and support him, not the type who vacillate between dictating what he's going to do and coddling him when he instead needs direction.
  2. So it's pretty clear now what the game plan was and how it failed, based on the fact they suddenly started running the kind of plays that might have gotten them out of trouble a lot earlier, but not until the second half. They came out running way more than usual, and were finding success. The Titans are one of the best run defense teams so in theory that should have opened up the passing lanes and the deep ball. As soon as the Bengals decided to start trying the long ball the Titans did the opposite of what you'd expect - they teed off. They did all out blitzes, stunts, all as if they had a big lead and the Bengals were desperate. The Bengals had no answer for this and were embarrassed. Outcoached indeed.
  3. It required the Titans snapping the ball over Tannehill's head for a 12 yard loss. We didn't do anything.
  4. That was nearly an 11 minute series to start the half. Can't get much more pathetic than that.
  5. Soooo why did they call a phantom "roughness" penalty? Battle hitting the receiver is allowed, the ball was coming and you're allowed to complete the (very normal) hit. They've got Blandino blubbering and bumbling trying to figure out *something* that was worth a penalty there "uhhh I'm sure there was something out there..."
  6. That's one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Did they really think they'd run the ball from a direct snap and no timeouts? There was only one guy who ran a route anyway, and NOBODY covered him? That's fuggn' pathetic. Well I think it's pretty safe to say this season is over. They decided not to let Joe get healthy and now they don't have an offense because Zac has no imagination. They can't stay on the field long enough for the defense to rest or get a lead to play with. They might as well let Browning get clobbered and let the dust clear next season. Couple all of this with how wildly inconsistent the referees are and it's pretty much not worth watching.
  7. This pared down offense to accommodate Joe's leg has to end. Completely predictable, completely inept. I think what we're finding out is that Joe's movement ability is at least 50% of the pass game.
  8. How in the sweet merciful fuck do you get a delay of game when you're simply trying to run the clock? Jeezus
  9. It makes you wonder why they don't do this against other teams' back up OL. Harry might be right that it's just a matter of getting a couple calls for obvious holding.
  10. In case you didn't see it, he took a bad angle on a tackle attempt and got his head/neck wrenched. With that said I haven't seen an update since.
  11. Just what the doctor ordered after another blown coverage. FIFTY FIVE
  12. We're real lucky Chase is Chase, because Joe has thrown him some shit balls tonight
  13. Joe looking reeally tentative just walking back to the huddle after that "roll out"...
  14. I'm... guessing you don't watch the Sunday games? This is the Zac Taylor offense.
  15. These announcers have to shut up about reps. Joe throws that stuff in his sleep, to these WRs. He is injured and not throwing properly.
