    I keep seeing him talked about as WR4 in this draft if not for the off-field. WR4 was the 23rd pick in the first round (Brian Thomas, a guy lots of pundits had us taking).

    Two of our picks this year (NT, and now the CB from TCU) were top 50 guys in the preseason. I’ve always been a fan of looking at guys who dropped from one year to the next, because it usually means an injury or off year or bad testing numbers contradict the good tape they created the original buzz with.     The good news is we have 2 wr 1s on the team his season. Bengals have played this to perfection so far. They are playing to win now, AND tomorrow.

    A bevy of first round picks who went on to prove it in the NFL? Why not? Word on the street is that he never lost a one-on-one there.

    I just heard that Seattle had Lautanu's previous OL/OC coach there now. I'm sure they loved Murphy, but the fact that they passed on Troy definitely says a little something, given that he was supposed to be such a beloved player (for those wishing we took him over Mims, however small of a group you may be).

    Something kind of deep the coach just said at the presser. “The only reason we could draft him is because of the missed games. Had he had a full season with that tape we wouldn’t have been able to sniff him at 18” (paraphrase).
