  1. OG9 Jalen Rivers Miami, 5SR HOMETOWN HIGH SCHOOL BIRTHDAY AGE HT WT NUM Jacksonville, FL Oakleaf Sep 12, 2002 22.61 6062 319 #64 BACKGROUND: Jalen Rivers, who has two sisters (De'Shonne and Felicia), was born in the naval hospital in Portsmouth, Va., and grew up in a military family. His mother (Donna Daniels) and father (Keith Rivers) both served in the Navy. In 2008, Jalen and his mother moved to Middleburg, Fla. (25 miles outside of Jacksonville), where she married Jalen's stepfather (James Daniels), who served in the Navy for 30 years as an operations specialist and was deployed to 41 different countries. Rivers started playing sports at age 5, including basketball at the local YMCA (his mother stands more than six feet tall and played basketball in high school). He played AAU basketball for the Jacksonville Nets for three years, followed by the Heart and Hustle AAU organization. Rivers also wanted to play football, but he initially wasn't allowed to because he exceeded the Pop Warner weight limit. At age 7, he joined the Argyle Spartans football team, which didn't have any size restrictions. Two years later, Rivers was able to join the local Pop Warner League in Oakleaf, Fla., and played for the Knights — he was a part of three straight city championships (2012-14) and two different 2014 national championships. He started at left tackle at Oakleaf Junior High, and joined the basketball (center) and track teams (won the county, district and state shot put championships). Rivers enrolled at Oakleaf High in Orange Park, Fla., where his stepfather was an assistant football coach. As a freshman in 2016, Rivers weighed 357 pounds and earned a starting role on varsity, ultimately earning second-team all-area honors and helping the team to a 7-3 finish. He trimmed down to 320 pounds for his sophomore season and started at left tackle for the next three seasons, earning all-state and all-county honors as a junior and senior and being named a 2020 Under Armour All-American. Rivers was also a standout track athlete at Oakleaf, winning the county championship in shot put as a freshman. As a junior, he won the 2019 shot put state championship with a personal best of 54 feet, 4 inches. He played three years of varsity basketball, helping the program to a district title (didn't play as a senior, because he graduated early). Rivers also lettered in weightlifting and graduated with a 4.3 GPA as part of a college prep program (AICE). A four-star recruit, Rivers was the 12th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2020 recruiting class and the No. 20 recruit in Florida (No. 2 offensive line recruit in the state). After his freshman season, Rivers attended a camp at Florida and received his first scholarship offer from former head coach Jim McElwain. Three days later, he received an offer from Miami, which was the program his stepfather had grown up following. After Mark Richt stepped down as Hurricanes head coach, Rivers started to focus on his other offers, including those from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan and Texas. He came close to committing to Georgia, but Manny Diaz was able to keep Rivers' interest after taking over as Miami's head coach. He committed to Miami and shut down his recruitment. He was the fifth-ranked recruit in Diaz' 2020 class (Rivers' best friend and high school teammate, Chantz Williams, was No. 2 in the class). Rivers graduated with a degree from Miami (May 2023). He accepted his invitation to the Senior Bowl. Despite missing time throughout his career because of injuries, he showed clear improvements each season — he played his best ball toward the end of the 2024 season and at the Senior Bowl. When he stays patient in pass pro, Rivers skillfully uses his length to lock out, shuffle and control his man with his power base, although he can get crossed up when caught upright or lunging. He flashes dominance in the run game, and that should continue if he can clean up some technical issues. Overall, Rivers is a large-bodied athlete with long arms, play strength and functional movements to execute his blocking assignment. His overaggressive tendencies lead to balance issues, however, which must be addressed by pro coaching. He has NFL starting potential and fits best at guard. GRADE: 4th round

Remaining needs 2 more picks and 14 roster spots available QB-Camp arm QB Burrow 29 Browning 26 Woodside 26 RB-Moss, Brown and Perine are a fine trio but could use a 4th guy with some upside from a deep draft. RB Brown 27 Moss 26 Perine 27 Milton 26 Brightwell WR-Top 3 guys are a rock, top 4 if you include Gesicki as a WR. Jones and Williams still have some possibilities. Can't really count on Burton. 7. LB9 Barrett Carter Clemson, 4SR HOMETOWN HIGH SCHOOL BIRTHDAY AGE HT WT NUM Suwanee, GA North Gwinnett Oct 23, 2002 22.50 6001 232 #0 BACKGROUND: Barrett Carter, who has two older sisters, grew up in Chicago. His parents (Barrett Carter Sr. and Alexis) moved the family to Suwanee, Ga., a northeast suburb of Atlanta, when he was 7. He started playing football at age 5 but blossomed in the sport after the move to Georgia. Carter's first love was baseball, and he was also active in basketball (his dad has a basketball background). Playing primarily running back and wide receiver, he quickly established himself as one of the top players in the North Gwinnett Youth football program and in middle school. Carter attended North Gwinnett High. He initially played on the freshman team before moving up to varsity later in the year (as a running back) and helping the program capture the 2017 7A state championship (first state title in school history). Despite his objections, the varsity coaches moved him to linebacker as a sophomore in 2018 (Carter: "I hated defense, I had never really played it before.") — he finished with 51 tackles and seven tackles for loss. As a junior, Carter led North Gwinnett to 12 wins and the 2019 regional title, finishing with 73 tackles and 10 sacks. In a pandemic-shortened senior season, he did a little bit of everything on offense (wildcat quarterback, running back and wide receiver) and defense (linebacker and safety). Carter was named National Defensive High School Player of the Year with 49 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks and a 79-yard interception return for a touchdown. He rushed for 429 yards (9.3 average) and 10 touchdowns, made seven catches for 68 yards and threw a 13-yard touchdown pass. A five-star recruit, Carter was the third-ranked linebacker in the 2021 recruiting class and the No. 3 recruit in Georgia. He was the 33rd-ranked recruit nationally, one spot behind his future Clemson teammate Will Shipley. Carter received his first scholarship offer (Temple) after his freshman season in May 2018. His recruitment blew up after his sophomore season, when he received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame and Texas A&M. Carter received more than 60 scholarship offers in all before narrowing his final choice to Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State. After his visit to Clemson, he committed to head coach Dabo Swinney in May 2020. Carter, who had been recruited by former defensive coordinator Brent Venables, was the second-ranked recruit in Clemson's 2021 class. He was a three-time ACC Honor Roll honoree and graduated with a degree in sports communications (Dec. 2024). Carter declined his invitation to the Senior Bowl. He rarely came off the field (59.4 defensive snaps per game the past three seasons) and posted steady production. A speedy run-and-hit athlete, Carter is one of the best open-field pursuit defenders in this draft class and has genuine sideline-to-sideline range. Though he tracks the ball well, he will run himself into roadblocks and needs to widen his vision and improve his take-on hands to avoid becoming Velcroed to blockers. Overall, Carter plays with the type of pursuit speed that can be weaponized as both a run defender and cover man, although he might be too reactionary and undersized for what some NFL schemes desire. At the very least, he will be lightning on special teams coverages while fighting for footing on the linebacker depth chart. GRADE: 4th round

  20. OG7 Dylan Fairchild Georgia, 4JR HOMETOWN HIGH SCHOOL BIRTHDAY AGE HT WT NUM Cumming, GA West Forsyth May 08, 2003 21.96 6052 325 #53 BACKGROUND: Dylan Fairchild grew up north of Atlanta, with his parents. He played little league football, but wrestling was his best sport growing up — he won several state titles in middle school. Fairchild is also an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He proposed to his fiancée (Elizabeth) in February 2025. Fairchild attended West Forsyth High School in Cumming, Ga., where he was a multisport standout. Known more as a wrestler early in his high school career, his football path started to take shape during his sophomore season as a 250-pound defensive tackle who worked his way into rotation. Fairchild bulked up to 285 pounds as a junior and stood out at defensive tackle, while also blossoming at left tackle, earning 2019 second-team all-region honors. He again played both ways as a senior and led West Forsyth to a nine-win season and the 2020 7A Region 6 championship. Fairchild earned an invitation to the 2021 All-American Bowl. He had a prolific wrestling career in high school, earning all-state honors all four years. After going 47-0 as a junior, Fairchild repeated as the Class 7A state champion as a senior in the 285-pound division (pinned his opponent in 25 seconds), finishing his final season 22-0 (all pins). He also played baseball in high school but quit as a sophomore because it was "too boring." A four-star recruit, Fairchild was the sixth-ranked interior offensive lineman in the 2021 recruiting class and the No. 11 recruit in Georgia. He was a consensus top-100 recruit nationally. After flashing his ability as a sophomore, Fairchild received his first scholarship offer from Jacksonville State (May 2019). That summer, he took a visit to South Carolina and received an offer on the spot from the offensive line. Fairchild's recruitment took off after his junior season, including offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech. He decided to stay in his home state and committed to head coach Kirby Smart in May 2020. Fairchild was the seventh-ranked recruit in Smart's 2021 class (one spot ahead of Brock Bowers). After an All-America junior season, he elected to skip his senior season and enter the NFL Draft. He cut his teeth on the scout team (non-travel) over his first two seasons in Athens before earning a starting job and quickly developing into one of the better guards in the SEC. Fairchild is built to hold his ground and jolt defenders at the point of attack, and he plays with the fierce demeanor to win his individual battles (wrestling mentality). At times, his feet, hands and eyes can get slightly disjointed as he responds to quickness, but he flashes dominance when his moving parts all stay on the same page. Overall, Fairchild lacks experience — and it shows at times — but he is powerful, tough and naturally aggressive. I expect him to continue getting better with additional reps. He is an ascending prospect with NFL starting upside, in the Wyatt Teller mold. GRADE: 3rd-4th round
