Guest Master Shake
I know some of this has to depend on who's there, but based on the projections, which position should we spend the #1 pick at? Or should we just take the BPA (unless he's a QB, RB, WR...)
Jason
Best player available at SS, DT, TE, or CB. The order would be used to break ties. Unless something ridiculous happens like DeMario Williams, Regie Bush, or AJ Hawk slides (which won't happen).
Guest fredtoast
I'd say BPA at DT, DE, or safety. No way we use a first round pick on an offensive player no matter who is available. If the BPA is an offensive player then we trade down for another pick. Of course a lot of this depends on who is available in the FA market and what positions are deepest in the draft. Personally I would think that we would have a better chance of picking up a quality safety late in the second round than a quality DT or DE. So even if a good safety is there in the first round we may go for help on the D-line.
