According to the police report, Shabazz approached the alleged victim and was upset that the victim had spoken to Shabazz's girlfriend while Shabazz was out of town. After the verbal exchange, the victim said Shabazz punched him once and left the scene. LocalLinks The victim then went to MountainView Regional Medical Center and was treated for swelling to the left side of his face. No charges have been filed against Shabazz. Dolphins spokesperson Harvey Greene said the team was gathering information on the incident and had no comment. Shabazz, a New Mexico State graduate, signed a free agent contract with the Dolphins in January after playing 28 games over the past three seasons with Atlanta and New Orleans.
