Having grown up listening to him since before the Big Red Machine years, he's as much a part of Reds baseball for me as any player who ever played. I've never met him, yet he seems like an old friend. He's also back in the hospital now with pneumonia, which really has nothing to do with why he deserves the award, other than it would be great to see him recognized while he's still with us. You can vote once a day. If you're like me, a longtime fan of the old lefthander, please vote and pass the link along to anyone else you know who's a fan of Joe.
