Friends of mine in Florida are riding out hurricane Milton as tornadoes have been touching down all over. They followed local guidelines in evacuating from their house near Tampa to what was projected to be a safer location further south where her elderly parents live.

 

Her sister's house got hit, but survived, while a neighbor's house was demolished.

I have a friend who is supposed to be going down to her house this weekend for a mini vacation. I hope it doesn’t turn into a clean up mission for her.

I got family in the Orlando area and they lost power for a little bit and got it back.  As my brother joked, I guess that means I gotta log into work today.
