Kige has not been seen or heard from since the game. This includes his normally-prolific facebook updates as well as the Kige Ramsey Show. Frankly, he's probably just sucking off Clay Travis trying to get a job in sports talk radio.
 2.
On the scoreboard, yes, WVU beat UK, and they were coached by Bob Huggins. My point, which is valid, is that UK beat themselves by the worst shooting effort by an Elite Eight team I have ever witnessed, and it actually had very little to do with Huggins, the defense, whatever. UK had open looks along the perimeter all day...they just wouldn't fall. Same goes for the charity stripe. I'm not bitter about it. Its just exactly how I see it. There's always next year. And unlike Bob or WVU, UK has actually won it all in recent memory.
They clearly shot poorly - but that doesn't mean they were a superior team which gave the game away. Their inexperience is just as important a defining characteristic of the team as their talent, which is why it is foolish to call their performance in that game an abberation. It is merely typical of an inexperienced team running into the first opponent capable of biting back, and is the reason I picked them to lose.
 3.
He's a great coach, but he didn't beat UK. UK beat UK.
A Bob Huggins team beat them convincingly. Elsewhere, a Bob Huggins-recruited team led by one of his disciples nearly made the final four as well. That's just the Power of Huggs. Anyway, few would argue that UK had the most raw talent and potential in their team. There's a reason this is nothing more than an academic point, though. They were not the best team, they lose, they get nothing, good day sir.
 4. Cronin will never have this kind of authoritative big-man voice: Can you see Mick trying to do that? "Ummm, excuse me, pardon me, can I have your attention?" Shades of Sam Wyche.
 5.
Did they get NIT tix last year too?
Well played.
 6. Huggins, on past heart attack: “I don’t think about it, because if you think about it, it has a tendency to bother you. Now, I’m going to tell you an interesting deal. When I was in the ambulance, the guy who was in there was Calipari’s cousin. John grew up in Coraopolis. It’s gospel truth. And his cousin was the guy in the ambulance. And there was a couple of things that went on. But basically what he said is we’re not going to let you die until John beats you at least once.”

 8.
PLus you guys had Maxiell! Maxiell!
Careful, man! A friend of mine once typed M's name 3 times; he appeared like Betelgeuse, swatted the shit outta him and then dunked on his wife. After he vanished they discovered his daughter was pregnant. Wasn't pretty.
 9.
I guess that quote about inquisitive idiots in your sig has some new meaning now. though if you think that UK didn't know the ins and outs of this investigation (which is 18 months in the works) before they hired Calipari. Why do you think the first 5 minutes of the presser when they hired the guy were about academic integrity and honesty?
From the Yahoo sports homepage:
An NCAA spokesperson said the organization did not discuss John Calipari’s role in the ongoing investigation at Memphis with anyone at the University of Kentucky before the Wildcats hired Calipari earlier this spring.
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/ne...o&type=lgns
By the way, can anyone find a sucessful modern college coach who hasn't been guilty by association with wrongdoing?
This is why college sports suck ass.
 10.
Despite what the NCAA says, UK didn't get a bye to the Championship that year.
UMASS and Calipari were stripped of all victories in that tournament and forced to repay all their earnings from it for breaking the rules. One doesn't get to take credit for honors which have been stripped away from him. This is like saying Floyd Landis is a Tour de France champion, because despite what the World Anti-Doping Agency says, he crossed the finish line first.
 11.
He is getting 2+ mil to lead the Vols. Yet Kentucky is paying too much for a coach that's gotten teams to [s]2[/s] 1 final four, has had NBA teams come after him, and has proven he can get top players. Please.
A correction, for accuracy's sake.
If you play ball with Kige, be sure to post some pics
Ramsey is, at best, doubtful. All he offers to our repeated invitations is a cryptic "we'll see." Not surprising, since he's a busy man - running the YouTube Sports Studio ain't exactly child's play.
 12.
The "Caliparication" vid was kinda cool, but PLEASE with the Kige Ramsey videos! That guy is the epitome of why people NOT from Kentucky make fun of people FROM Kentucky!

Kige Ramsey is still horrrrrible. Unreal. The only think actually cool about UK basketball is Ashley Judd. And she's pretty damn cool. (yup, just watched the caliparication vid )
Woah. You liked the Ryan Parker video, but didn't like the Kige Ramsey Show clip? That's f'ed up. And seriously - Judd is at best (and I'm being very generous here) a has-been, and would probably best be described as a never-was. Ramsey will be unstoppable once he takes his degree, and I'll take a will-be over a has-been any day. Also, he may or may not be joining us to play baseball this Saturday.
 13.
28 turnovers from a UK squad...jeez, that's bad. The kicker is two of UNC's best players were on the bench! UK has talented players, but some of them are very young, and as a team they just don't look like they're on the same page with each other. Damn. I just had to be a Bengals, Reds and UK fan this year. The Reds better not suck next season dammit! When do pitchers and catchers report?
The only winners in town right now play at Nippert Stadium, and they'll be taking on Pitt Saturday evening with the Big East title and a BCS bid on the line. Come early, be loud, wear red.
 14.
Ha! Whatever. I don't think we make it. If we do, we could mount a run. If, if, if....it's a big IF to me making it at all. To each his own. I don't think we deserve it.
I think they'll get in. I'm surprised you might think there's a better chance of them mounting a run than there is of them getting in, after shitting the bed against georgia.
 15.
I don't think that the SEC is all that much of a "power" conference this year. If we had a 12-4 record and were in the Big East, I'd say no worries. I think we're getting left out in the cold this time. Look at this from ESPN's bubble watch: Bubble In (11) Arizona (19-14, 8-10 Pac-10) Baylor (21-10, 9-7 Big 12) Illinois St. (24-9, 13-5 MVC) Kentucky (18-12, 12-4 SEC) Oregon (18-13, 9-9 Pac-10) S. Ala. (26-6, 16-2 S. Belt) St. Joe's (21-11, 9-7 A-10) St. Mary's (25-6, 12-2 WCC) Temple (20-12, 11-5 A-10) UNLV (24-7, 12-4 MWC) Va. Tech (19-13, 9-7 ACC) Only Oregon and UK have fewer than 19 wins. We didn't show up today, and I think it sinks us. We are going to be last year's Syracuse. If we had won that game and lost the second tonight, then I think the committee gives us the sympathy for having had to play two games in one day. But, we didn't win that first game, Georgia sucks and we should have beaten them, and I think that's going to ice our NIT cake.
16.
Go BIG BLUE BITCHES!!!
Big blue bitches, huh. Damn - I'd like to know what you call teams you don't like.
 17.
2007 Big East Football Champs
Leave West Virginia out of this. Let's be honest now. If UConn are Big East champs, then they are at best paper champions, to borrow Lee Flowers's phrase. The Big East's conference bowl record would've looked better this year if the selection committees hadn't skewed the order. UC would've had a better chance against Wake Forest, and possibly Oregon, than the teams picked instead. UConn probably could've handled So. Miss. It all comes down to the fact that people around here have other things to do besides watch the Bearcats if they aren't doing well, and they thus haven't traveled in the past to the motor city or international bowls.

 19.
what happend to the new era
Uh, yeah, so Rumble, I'm sure I love antagonizing UK fans as much as the next guy, but I have no clue what you mean. Maybe you thought this was an OSU basketball thread, in which case...
 20.
It took me a little while to decide whether or not this deserved a response, but I feel generous tonight. This video was Go Tory Go!'s response to a video that I put on his facebook wall a while back that was quickly deleted. You see, GTG is a UC fan, and after having to endure a program that was filled with criminals and was still substandard (unlike our Bengals, whose thugs contribute to success and are not part of the coaching staff), he only appreciates the more AND1 aspects of the game, like Dunks and Alley oops. While he (and every other UC fan) are nostalgic over a coach who took the team to 2 Elite Eight appearances over the course of 16 years (and was a completely classless individual), some UK fans are upset that Tubby Smith has only had 4 Elite Eight appearances in 10 years and only 1 national championship (the reason this video was made). University of Cincinnati fans can't really comprehend what Kentucky Basketball is, and should really avoid "speek"ing on the subject, lest they make asses of themselves.
You've talked your way around the important issue here - do you then condone Tubby's theft of Fort Knox's gold?
 21. I think this videofilm speeks for y'all. And is a fine production by some great uk fans to boot. The man makes a valid point about Tubby and the disappearance of the Fort Knox gold as well - never thought of that before. Enjoy.
