  1. They've had an almost continuous run of good WR's since at least Chad & TJ. How many good LBs have they had in that timeframe? Maybe 2?
  2. If I had to choose one or the other I'm keeping Wilson.
  3. That and a top 10 defense are all that matters. Really think they need to look at him like NE did Brady and not worry quite so much about the other skill positions.
  4. The post-30 year old body doesn't respond to injury like it does at 25, doesn't really matter what position they're playing. Still, if the guy doesn't have an injury history and is still playing well then go ahead and extend them but only for 2-3 years tops.
  5. I'm sure he wanted to keep Hurst & Perine too, far as that goes. There's a number where it doesn't make sense and a very real possibility Higgins will get those offers just like those other two did. Honestly he's more deserving of the big payday than both of them combined.
  6. Yeah I can't imagine a scenario that would have him do that. He's not married so we can rule out 100% wife-driven. Happythoughts RT situation aside they've invested heavily in protecting him with the OL. Maybe if he plays until he's 40 I could see him on another team for a last lap Brady style but aside from some heinous shit like Troy fucking him around like Whitworth I think he's a career Bengal.
  7. If that's the way it goes, oh well. I'm not sure it's wise to tie up all that money in WR's anyway with so many other contracts expiring over the next 2-3 years. I like Higgins but I assumed he wasn't staying as soon as they drafted Chase.
  8. You mean the Taylor Sheridan network? Have you seen his new series where a grandpa is very tough but "this whole world is going to hell, son" and also look at these horses? You ever wish you were a horse, son? Anyway at least Sicario was good.
  9. Could have, but they didn't. 3-0 against them until they got a 5th down do-over while facing 1/2 an OL that shouldn't even be on an active roster. This idea that the Bengals are looking up at them is just blatant favoritism.
  10. Only way we lose to the Chiefs is key injuries or the refs give them the game. It took both for the only win they've got against Burrow.
  11. If he wasn't a known sex offender and they didn't give up 2 years of top draft picks on top of $250m guaranteed I would agree it makes good sense for them. A move that desperate though? I think it was a hail Mary to try and stay relevant in the division. Hell I'd have to think hard about giving up all that for Burrow. Sure he's HoF material but if something goes sideways we'd be screwed for the next several years. No way Watson will live up to that deal.
  12. Not consistently this tough, no question. Without looking I'd guess the AFCN claims a Wildcard spot more often than the others & those late season divisional games seem to always matter for at least one of the teams.
  13. I think the completely insane trade for Watson was largely driven by having Burrow in their division & trying to keep pace. I suspect Pickett will be on a very short leash in Pittsburgh for the same reason. This DE is just a good move overall though, I agree it had very little to do with the question marks at RT. 1-5 vs the Browns though, man that's ugly. Bad matchups OL vs DL I guess? Pretty crazy.
  14. Didn't they used to alternate like that as the norm? Now we get all sorts of schedule fuckery to the tune of 3 home games in the space of 2 months.
  15. 3-0 against Kermit in games where he doesn't get a 5th down do-over but sure, OK
  16. I think it's more that the other owners hate MB specifically. Pumpkin seems to want to run things like a modern NFL franchise & with continued success they'll stop looking at the Bengals as a hole they keep shoveling money into with no return. The KC rivalry & the more sibling-style friendlier rivalry with Buffalo are good for business. Marvin almost got to this point but was never on the same page with ownership & it all fell apart. We'll see if they're willing to let Zac cook or not. This Mixon stuff feels very old Bengals to me, or naming Jonah the starting RT. Those don't seem like football decisions.
  17. First playoff run to the SB they were just happy to be there.. Last season was a little bit the other way, at times they looked like they expected a do-over. Think they know what to expect now (& that they have to take the refs out of the game). Also unlikely that Goodell gets another chance to take away a 1 or 2 seed. Homefield through the playoffs should be the next step.
  18. No no, the Chiefs should guarantee his contract. After all, Cleveland gave Watson a guaranteed contract. Are the Chiefs saying they think Watson is a better QB than Kermit? Unfair! 1/2 a because fuck KC for real
  19. Is Kermit mad he's not the highest paid? Why is this important? Imagine having a half-billion dollar contract and still whining because there's not a gold star sticker on it.
  20. Bills-Bengals will be a better game than anything involving Dallas or NYJ. I think Discount DoubleCheckdown may have some gas left but seriously doubt it's enough to carry them. Aren't the designated Rodgers-blowing kneepads worn a bit thin by now? The guys a jackass, nobody likes him, quit trying to make it happen. He's just as likely to be this year's Russel Wilson. Not buying it. And Dallas, who the fuck are we kidding with this Cowboys nonsense. Mickey Mouse sells a lot of merch too that doesn't mean he and Goofy are destined to be SB MVPs. I swear Goodell may disappear in a puff of smoke when Jerrah finally dies.
  21. As shitty as that all sounds it wouldn't really surprise me.
