  1. Once again, I was not celebrating the young man's death and resent the Hell out of even the implication that I was. Or am. My rather uninformed and generalized definition/view of Karma is some sort of cosmic pay back for a misdeed or crime or harm caused by someone. In this case, getting away or off light probably, as you said, Mr Dub, and I agree with "Conjecture would be me saying that if he wasn't a HoF linebacker he'd likely still be serving time for it." IMHO and my original intention of the post was The Karmic pay back to Ray Lewis for getting off light for stabbing some guy to death for the crime of stepping on Ray's shoes was the early and tragic passing of Ray Jr esp the way it happened. Nothing negative about Ray Jr. Nor the suffering for Sr and the rest of the family. Karma is not only a Bitch, but a cruel one. Lewis Sr's name was commonly "Killer Ray" on the board and I doubt if the original borderline troll noob was ever at a Bengals home game vs the Ravens when cries of "murderer" would be heard from the stands. So, IMHO, Killer Ray's Karmic payback was not "fair" (it never is) but the proverbial bitch. And Karma is only "Instant" to John Lennon who made a million bucks off the song.
  2. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/dolphins-wr-tyreek-hill-under-investigation-for-alleged-assault-at-miami-marina-per-reports-001749618.html Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill under investigation for alleged assault at Miami marina, per reports Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is under investigation over an alleged assault and battery Sunday, Miami-Dade police told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. The incident was alleged to have happened at Haulover Park, a Miami beachfront area. The city's WPLG news station first reported a tip from a viewer who claimed Hill had a “disagreement” with a charter company employee at Haulover Marina and hit him. Police reportedly visited the marina on Monday. The Dolphins confirmed they were aware of the allegations and declined further comment in a statement to ESPN: Hill is entering his second season with the Dolphins after a blockbuster trade with the Kansas City Chiefs landed him in Miami last offseason. He was as advertised and more in his first season catching passes from Tua Tagavailoa, earning first-team All-Pro honors after posting a career-high 119 catches and 1,710 receiving yards on 170 targets with seven touchdowns. Hill joined the Dolphins with some incidents in his past, however. A 2014 domestic assault conviction in which he pleaded guilty to punching and choking his then-20-year-old pregnant girlfriend clouded his profile as he entered the NFL. In 2019, he was suspended from team activities and investigated by child services after the release of a recorded conversation in which he told his fiancée she and his child should be afraid of him, while his fiancée claimed the child had said "Daddy punches me." The matter involving his child led to no criminal charges or discipline from the NFL. ***** Suspension alert??
  3. A bit further down I said: "I hope this is not being interpreted as snark or taking pleasure in the tragic death of a young man. Not intended that way no matter what a piece of shit his father was and still is." Did you miss that?
  4. Dear Logan, What better be brewing is your contract negotiations. Just sayin'. Your friend, High School

  6. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/ray-lewis-rsquo-son-ray-030247926.html A police report has revealed Ray III's cause of death, saying he passed away due to an accidental overdose. Florida police said they received a call on June 14 at 5:29 p.m. about a medical emergency, per TMZ. When they responded, they discovered Ray naked and unresponsive. He was getting CPR from one friend before police administered Narcan, which treats narcotic overdoses, to no avail.
  7. Karma, even delayed, is a bitch https://www.foxnews.com/sports/ray-lewis-iii-son-nfl-legend-ray-lewis-dead Ray Lewis's son, age 28, dead of undisclosed causes.
  8. Diggs said he would be unable to make it because of a previous engagement at a massage parlor so the Bills called it off.
  9. Aaron Rogers and C.J. Uzomah attend the Tony Awards for God only knows what reason. They appeared on the facia carpet wearing a tuxedo from Goodwill and a double breasted Glad trash bag.
  10. Bet someone in Cleveland can hook(er) him up in a few local rub and tug places. See? The story has a happy ending.
  11. They should call it Joe Burrow Stadium because the naming rights is paying his salary. And I like that name better, anyway.
  12. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/kenny-picketts-car-stolen-middle-radio-interview Kenny Pickett's car stolen in the middle of radio interview, police arrest suspect Pickett's Stealers playbook was reportedly in the car at the time of the theft Second-year Pittsburgh Stealers quarterback Kenny Pickett had his car stolen as he conducted an interview with a Pittsburgh radio station this week. Pickett was at a local Chevrolet dealership in the Pittsburgh suburb of Monroeville for an interview Wednesday with 93.7 The Fan, according to WPXI. Shortly after the 24-year-old quarterback discovered his 2023 Genesis SUV was missing, police reviewed security footage as they searched for the vehicle. Authorities eventually recovered the car and arrested 60-year-old Christopher Carter in connection to the theft. Police said the car was located outside Carter's home after officers responded to a call about a domestic incident at the address. Carter was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Both acts are considered felonies in Pennsylvania. Carter also faces misdemeanor unauthorized use of an automobile. WPXI also reported that Pickett's Stealers playbook was in the vehicle when it was taken, but it was returned to him when the car was recovered which is good because Kenny had not finished coloring all the pictures. Multiple scratches could be seen on the SUV after it was returned.
  13. I agree. Another (of the many) plus to Joe Burrow is he is very committed to the team... and his friends and the community. How could anyone not like the guy? From here and Bengals fans elsewhere, of course. This thread is as good a place to post this as any but I was going to comment that earlier there was talk something about cutting a player after June 1 freed up more cap money. That was pooh-poohed by someone, somehow and kind of died. I don't know. Next week is June 1. Could cutting someone like Joe Sixgun (I know... I know... I've read it, too) and L'Eel Collins, some other dead wood, free up more $$ for Tee, Logan and Joe after they are under extensions?
  14. “less running and more throwing.” = "more incompletions and interceptions"
  15. The Stealers got two Thursday night home games because no on in Pittsburgh has to get up and go to work Friday morning.
  16. For the Bengals, doesn't playing in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Baltimore count as away games in third world cities?
  17. https://bengalswire.usatoday.com/2023/05/22/nfl-thursday-night-football-flex-scheduling-rule-impact-bengals/ Cincinnati’s Week 15 home game against the Vikings that was already listed as a TBD could very well get flexed into a Thursday slot. But that week already has some premier divisional games and Cincinnati’s is merely a cross-conference affair. At least for this year, the rule change shouldn’t have a big impact on the Bengals.
