Kochman
Broncos | Team acquires No. 15 overall pick in Abraham trade Tue, 21 Mar 2006 15:58:39 -0800 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the New York Jets have traded DE John Abraham to the Atlanta Falcons as part of a three-way trade between the Jets, Falcons and the Denver Broncos. If the trade is approved, then the Falcons will have traded their first-round pick, No. 15 overall, to Denver, who in turn will trade their first-round pick, No. 29 overall, and two additional picks to Atlanta. Atlanta then sends the 29th pick to the Jets for Abraham. The Jets would receive a draft pick two slots higher in the first round than the Seattle Seahawks were able to offer. Odd trade! DanvilleBengal
That defense is going to be pretty good on all levels now. They are built like the Colts on defense, but they blitz more and haev bigger persons that have the same speed. The Falcons now have the bookends in Patrick Kerney and Abraham, the solid LB corps anchored by perennial All-Pro Keith Brooking, and now a pretty good secondary with Milloy, Crocker, and DeAngelo Hall. Now if they could only teach Mike Vick how to play more QB, and that would be a serious contender for the Super Bowl!!!

Guest ONYX
wow. Atlanta may have the best duo of defensive ends (P.Kearny & J. Abraham) in the league now.

The falcons arent very good at drafting either so those extra picks really wont help them, for the person who said they got Abe and 2 picks. Jets got an ok deal, but IMO Denver got the best end of it.

You may be right about the best duo, though. I would have said Strahan/Usimenora, but Strahan is getting older. Miami's duo of Jason Taylor and Adewale Ogunleye were sick too, with 33 sacks between the two of them alone.
