Those of you in college

Before you buy any books from the college, you must check out http://www.half.com and http://www.ebay.com.

I don't mean to advertise on this free forum but I wanted to let others know because I just got a great deal for one of my books.

The school wanted to charge me $132.00 for a book that I may use twice throughout the semester. I went out to half.com and found the exact same book, brand new with interactive CD for only $24.00. You probably won't find this kind of deal everytime, but damn, I saved over hundred dollars on this book. Could save even more when I sell to some sucker for more than what I paid for. LOL.

I am also selling textbooks on half.com under the seller name of mschutte369. Currently there are only 6 textbooks, but later, I plan on putting all my wife's romance novels out there too.

I am selling my books here because the school and eCampus are shorting me, I feel that I can get a better price from someone that wants to save money themselves. Everybook that I am selling is cheaper than eCampus used price but I am asking for a hell of a lot more than what they would buy them back for.

Parents keep this in mind too when your children start college!!!

I wish amazon.com and those other sites existed when I was in college. I wasted so much money on textbooks that were useless after one semester. Engineering books are VERY expensive, too. My only other option besides buying new was to buy used books at the university bookstore... the same monopoly that sells the books new! Think they gave a big discount? Hells, no! I spent a good $600 per semester on books. Most are completely useless to me today, yet I can't bear to throw them away since they cost so much!
