EnglishBengal
http://www.footballsfuture.com/2007/nfl/freeagentsDL.html I don't there's a s much out there as last year for us to go after. But one player I wouldn't mind is Oakland Raiders DT Terdell Sands. He's still young and playing well with plenty of upside, and is improving all the time. He's 6'7" 335lbs and can really move. Other than that, I can see Marvin looking at LB's - Adalius Thomas, Lance Briggs, London Fletcher(though he may be too old, but is still better than Brian Simmons). JC
Hopefully this guy is available. Asante Samuel UFA New England Patriots Samuel has shown growth over the course of his three-plus years of experience, and at only 25 years of age, he’ll be a hot commodity. If the Patriots don’t sign him to an extension, suitors will be lining up to try and acquire the talented cornerback. His coverage skills have developed and some are even talking about a possible Pro Bowl invite. This season is quickly becoming a breakout year, and it could lead to a nice payday for Samuel, which doesn’t bode well for the Patriots; but, expect the Patriots to try hard to lock up the UCF product with an extension. Guest Whodey420
I think that Adalius Thomas and Lance Briggs are gonna be out of our price range. London Fletcher who you say is better than Simmons is also like you say too old. Terdell Sands would probably be one of the more affordable ones. If we lose Steinbach you might see us looking at some of the offensive linemen. I know a lot of people think we'll just plug Whitworth into Steinbach's position but even if we do we'll still need to add some depth because Kooistra I believe will become a free agent as well. Dont be surprised if we dont take a look at someone like Derrick Dockery (Skins) or Kris Dielman (Bolts) for depth. Asante Samuel would be a nice pick up but I'm afraid he'll be out of our price range too but if were gonna make a run at an expensive free agent this is the guy I'd like us to get. Gibril Wilson is another guy I wouldnt mind them going after although it would cost us a draft pick unless we could work out a trade of some sort with the Giants. We may have to address the back up QB situation as well. We'll need to decide what were gonna do with Reggie McNeal. Are we going to keep trying to make a WR out of him or are we gonna see if he's capable of being a back up QB in the NFL. It's kind of slim pickings as far as the free agent market for QB's go. Do we try and re sign Wright?

Guest Whodey420
I believe we'll be around 27 million under the cap but I dont see them using it all. Gotta set aside some for draft picks, injury settlements and our own free agents. Sure we have enough to sign one big name free agent. I just dont see them doing as usual.
