RB situation for 2008
Irons did carry it a lot at Auburn, especially his junior year. He was running behind Marcus McNeil and Ben Grubbs.

I'm not convinced that Irons will be full speed by the start of next season. It frequently takes more than 1 year to recover from ACL problems. Even so, 3 backs is enough to spread the carries around and not overwork anyone. My only concern would be goalline and short yardage situations. None of Irons, Watson, and Dorsey are power backs. Irons is probably the strongest.
Rudi has no trade value. Release him and let him find a new team. No other team is going to sign him as a starter coming off an injury and with a lot of miles on his body. His big contract would make trading him even harder.
No way the 206 pound Irons is stronger than the 220 pound Watson, Watson does most if not all of his running between the tackles...

so you're implying Irons doesn't run inside based on 4 preseason carries for his entire NFL career?
