  1. I disagree (shocker lol) I think taking someone who's had ultimate power for so long and leaving her a shriveling, helpless, crying mess in the basement of her own castle with no hope is the ultimate justice. Sure, seeing her burned by Drogon would have been cool too, but I think the way it went down was very poetic.
  2. I know you wrote this before the finale, but it's basically been said that the series ends the same way the books will, with the books of course going into more detail.
  3. He should say "it didn't completely suck" lol I liked Aquaman, but it was a bit of a mess. You felt like you were watching the origin story, and the sequel, at the same time, and neither one gets a fully complete story. Most of the Black Manta stuff (outside of the opening scene) should have been saved for the sequel.
  4. While not my favorite Queen song, and possibly their best song, I'd argue it doesn't crack the top 3 of their most famous songs. I'd put it behind "We will rock you", "we are the champions", and "under pressure". That said, it just narrowly missed becoming (if I'm not mistaken), the first song to ever hit #1 in 3 separate decades. It did it in 1975, 1985, and hit #2 in 1992 with the release of Wayne's World.

  6. I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. The biggest thing that stood out to me was the lack of John Williams (sans the Han theme, which I couldn't even pick out). Williams didn't do Rogue One either granted, but Michael Giacchino did a great job with Rogue One in blending iconic Star Wars themes into the score.

  8. here's the much longer and official version. The movie is out, I’ve seen it twice, and this still gave me chills. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. I pop in from time to time. Good to see you old. I did one again this year though it's admittedly not as thorough as years' past.
  11. yea, noticed so much more the second time around and there was also parts that my perception changed on the second time around. Definitely worth a second viewing.
  12. Just finished watching it and I wouldn't say that at all. The act of suicide wasn't painted in a positive light at all and many of the characters end up worse off. One tries to kill him self, one is now homeless and one is going to jail. One learned nothing leading to the one trying to kill him self. The only ones who have any transformation are 1-2 who were halfway decent kids to begin with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The last two Mission Impossible's are must watches as well.
  14. I think I'd go 1. DareDevil Season 2 2. DareDevil Season 1 3. Luke Cage 4. Jessica Jones 5. Iron Fist The bottom 2 have glaring things I think they could have toned up to really make them solid. Jessica Jones IMO was also more me in that I didn't love the 80's private eye voice over style that they went for. Defenders looks like it should be a lot of fun, and here pretty soon.
  15. agreed, and I've been disappointed in Corey Hawkins' acting considering how good he is in so many other things. He's forcing it here.

  17. Logan is definitely not a movie to take kids to. It earns its R rating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Oh it certainly wasn't boring IMO. Just needed some tightening up here and there to go from pretty good to amazing. I'm disappointed to read today that they cut the scene that would have flashed back to the "Westchester Incident" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Most people like Man of Steel. so? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. non spoilery comments: It definitely has some pacing issues, and drags a bit. IMO I think most of that is solved if you just cut out every scene Eric LaSalle is in. Nothing against him, or any of those scenes, they're just not needed. I get the point of them (to show Logan and Laura what "normal" looks like), but that can be achieved in a different way and cut out 10 minutes from a film that is 10-15 minutes too long. Another big miss for me is them merely glossing over where the rest of the X-Men are. They basically tell you if you're paying attention, but it deserved to be a more weighty part of the story, and would have made the story better. It's a disservice to every X-Men movie and mutant that came before to reduce them to two separate sentences not even in the same scene. The villains on the whole I thought were lackluster, and in typical Fox fashion, lack continuity with previous films. Everything else I've got is spoilers.
