frankie martin
Both teams won 2 World Series. "We are Family" was kickass with a '71 starting lineup of Rennie Stennett, Gene Clines, Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, Manny Sanguillen, Dave Cash, Al Oliver, and Jackie Hernandez. I'm sure you're all aware of the Machine's lineup. I admittedly don't know who won more head-to-head games, but I think that the 70's Pirates should get just as much credit as the Reds in terms of baseball's all-time greatest teams. Obviously I'll be outnumbered, but I think they were better. However, here's one thing we Reds and Pirates fans can agree on: Those were the days! The Ghost of Chucky B.
Fuck the Pirates, I'll put the Big Red Machine against the '27 Yankees.
