Guest 34inXXIII
Another gem from SportsPickle.com... Adam Dunn pulls to within only 617 home runs of Hank Aaron Cincinnati Reds slugger Adam Dunn hit his 20th home run of the season last week – and the 138th of his career – to pull within only 617 home runs of all-time leader Hank Aaron. “Outside of Barry Bonds and then Alex Rodriguez, I definitely think Adam Dunn have the best shots of surpassing Aaron one day,†said baseball reporter Peter Gammons. “Dunn is 25 years old, so all he has to do is average a little more than 40 home runs a season until he is 40. Considering he’s hit 40 home runs once so far in his five-year career, I don’t think it will be too much of a problem for him to do it every season for the next 15 years. In fact, it’s pretty much a given he’ll break the record.†Dunn is a popular pick among media members who seem addicted to projecting when and who will surpass Aaron. “Oh yeah – I definitely think Dunn is the smart pick, especially because he hits with such a high average and never strikes out and has been remarkably consistent throughout his career. Plus, a player with his size almost never gets hurt,†said baseball analyst Harold Reynolds. “But I’ve also got my eye on this one six-year old tee ball player in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who is displaying remarkable power. This kid will probably break Dunn’s home run record some day.†

The entire article was fabricated for the sake of humor, much like the Reds' pitching staff.

-Dan_Bengals_FL-
What is funny is that those two have actually talked about Dunn having a chance in the past.
