texbengal
I'm liking this gillberry kid. I wonder if they slimmed Devon Still down to eventually play Fanene's role. I haven't seen him take any snaps at DE, but he looks like he's under 300lbs. these days.
Yeah, (Din)Gilberry has been a pain in the ass so far. Liked him at Alabama... Strong guy for his size, can turn the corner on the pass rush. I think Still's best position is 4-3 DT but I could see him playing some at DE... Actually, I think he'd be a pretty good 3-4 DE as well, since he's got the ballast to handle the run there. Bottom line, with the rookies, a return to better health with Geathers and Dunlap, Moch coming back and (maybe) keeping Gilberry, plus Sims returning - and who knows, maybe Fanene down the line, they've got a lot to work with. The PatternMaster
I can't wait until Sims comes back, ever since he got hurt the defense hasn't been the same. His physical presence brings an element to this defense that makes them an elite unit.

He is a force. He had a sack last week against Miami, but as the play below shows he's responsible for others as well. This is in the first quarter of the game with Miami. Atkins (yellow circle) is lined up on guard Richie Incognito. At the snap, he made a hard outside move toward tackle Jake Long. End Michael Johnson (red circle) came around Atkins as both Incognito and Long went to block Atkins. That gave Johnson an easy path to dump Ryan Tannehill. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/pete-prisco/20546135/petes-pics-a-closer-look-at-slausons-hit-on-cushing
