I asked Herm Winningham about his 8th-inning bunt that gave the Reds runners at 1st & 2nd with nobody out and he said it was 100% his call to attempt it despite the 0-2 count. Gutsy decision, and most important Reds bunt since Ed Armbrister in '75.

 

While Rijo was dominant in the WS, virtually every player on the Reds post-season roster made some type of crucial contribution. From Jack Armstrong to Billy Bates to Herm Winningham. Total team effort to beat the Pirates & A's.
