  1. 100th pick?? More like the 150th to 180th pick. But we are getting 2 so that is like a getting a top 10 pick in the CFL. And Staley was the next coming of Sean McVay…, until he wasn’t. Truth be told, McVay was basically given the best team (short term) a coach could ask for. Few other owners would be willing to decimate their franchise long term like that. And other than a Super Bowl the team still has a horrible fan base. At least we have a pretty decent fan base.
  2. Because Ritter and Pickett are much better QBs than an undrafted QB who hasn’t played in 5 years. And stop with the Russell Wilson is washed up nonsense, it simply isn’t true. He had the worst coach in the NFL last year. The Browns won 5 of their 7 games with Watson at QB and the #1 defense. Our defense isn’t anywhere close to as good as theirs and nobody ever claimed it was. And Atlanta has a losing record, they just happen to lead the worst division in football.
  3. Andy Reid made JU JU look good, I can’t imagine what Tee would do there.
  4. Meh, there were quite a few good QBs in that draft to include Herbert, Tua and Hurts. You can NOT succeed in the NFL without a top tier QB. Bill Bellicheat is finding that out right now. New Orleans has all kinds of offensive firepower and a good defense. Derek Carr is no better than Andy Dalton was last year. BTW, Staley is a much worse coach than Zac.
  5. Find me another team in the NFL that’s solution for backup QB is a guy who has thrown 1 pass in a real game in the last 59 months. Joe Burrow was playing TCU in the Fiesta Bowl 59 months ago. That was his FIRST year at LSU. It is why the Bengals had little choice but to play an injured Burrow early in the season. And yeah, when you have a QB that can put up 400 total yards of offense (Allen), in a rain storm, on the road, against arguably the best team in the NFL, and put up 34 points you still have a chance at 6-6. Our schedule doesn’t allow for an inexperienced journeyman who has ZERO game experience to carry it.
  6. Well, then the other option is they are terrible and the very bad Stealer offense just kicked them in the teeth at home. I am good with either.
  7. Yep. The defense can play well but they knew going into this game that Browning is trash. At some point, human nature kicks in and they simply shut it down.
  8. And that should scare everyone. The team is a bottom 25% team without Burrow.
  9. Nah. The team is only as good as a healthy Joe Burrow is. We are no different than the Colts were with Andrew Luck. Without a top 5 QB we are the same ole Bengals.
  10. Might as well. No reason to risk injury for an offense that is horrible.
  11. LOL. The defense knows the game is over. They know Browning is useless.
  12. Pretty hard to justify spending 3 hours watching this garbage. I turned down tickets for today as well. Thinking football at all levels is over this season.
  13. Yeah, unfortunately there are very few teams with this much receiver talent and one of them is usually on a rookie contract like Waddle in Miami. Just can’t afford the trade off from an overall talent perspective.
  14. True story, I bought Billy Kilmer a pack of cigarettes at a bar back when he played for the Saints. I was maybe 7 or 8.
  15. I don’t think Herbert’s mental “variables” have much to do with having a terrible defense and the worst situational coach in the league. Staley will be gone next year minus a spectacular turn around. He hasn’t missed a game in 4 years which is hard to ignore.
  16. Sigh. When I saw Browning come in I checked his stats. 1 competitive pass in 6 years! 1! A full blown rookie who played last January in a Bowl game would give me more hope.
  17. It was your typical tackle the play before. Just landed on what was probably an already injured wrist.
