  1. My personal dead horse that isn't going to happen, unfortunately, but I am still very much in favor of trading Browning for a sweet draft pick and using it to trade up for a long term solution to the offense line or tight end to keep Joe Burrow safe and happy in the pocket. I would rather have a quality ORT or TE for a number of years to come than a clip board holder doing nothing for us on the field. And I still like McCarron in that role.
  2. I still have my Freezer Bowl ticket. Framed. I bet you do, too. These snarky wise ass whippersnappers can just get off my lawn and kiss my grass. for clarification because said in jest and no offense intended
  3. This weekend will be wet with rain likely Saturday and Sunday. Saturday the rain will be scattered showers until it picks up during evening. Sunday morning rain could be heavy, winds gusty and temperatures quickly cooling to upper 30s. Depending on the falling temperatures and when the precipitation moves out, we could see snow showers and a mix setting up Sunday morning into afternoon.
  4. I'd still sign him and trade him if we could. A.J. McCarron lurks and I think he is underrated and could prove a solid back up.
  5. Ummmm... no. Hard no. But I would trade Browning for maybe a 3rd if we can get it. And... stop me if you've heard this before... just it to trade up in the first for an elite O lineman or even Bowers if we are in a position to do so.
  6. Somewhere on here it shows Jake Browning is a Free Agent at the end of the season. I brought this up on another board and got this reply: "He’s set to be an exclusive rights free agent in 2024, meaning the Bengals have the upper hand in being able to retain him." Exclusive rights free agent (ERFA): Any player with fewer than three accrued seasons and an expired contract. If his original team offers him a one-year contract at the league minimum (based on his credited seasons), the player cannot negotiate with other teams. Does this sound right?
  7. This will, of course, change but as of today we have the 17th pick in the draft. No way we get the elite player we need here. Have to trade up.
  8. Jake Browning and Chuck Norris don't go to church. Church comes to them. Jake Browning and Chuck Norris joined the Pope on the balcony when they visited the Vatican. In the crowd below, one old nun turned to another and said "Who's that guy up there with Jake Browning and Chuck Norris?"
  9. Cleveland Brownstains slot machine at Hard Rock Casino No matter how much money so dupe pumps into it, it never pays off.
  10. Bengals Slot Machine at Hard Rock Casino (full disclosure... can select any NFL team)
  11. Maybe the long lost Rick did a road trip in one of his golf carts from The Villages and was there.
  12. Not sure I heard Who Dey but did hear Teeeeeee. And I hope to hear that for years to come.
  13. In Chase I Trust. The Chase National Bank. Surprised we did not see more Treyveon Williams, too, but he is really small when you see him close up. Chris Evans can't even make it to the active list on game day so there is some sort of story there. I know I'll get rocked for this but IMHO Mixon is still erratic. A blind pig finding a truffle sometimes. (I know... they hunt by smell). One or two OK runs a game, will catch a pass for a nice gain every now and then but as a runner... not evasive, often down at first contact and don't even think about anything like making his own holes. Absolutely cannot get to the corner and around it. Updated local weather as of this morning is high of 39º, windy and "wintry mix". Even Joe Burrow and the fantastic receivers would have a difficult time in that stuff.
  14. Yeah, I thought so, too. There was a video clip somewhere that I saw and lost I was going to try to embed. But he did not have secure possession as he was falling.
  15. Heavy on the running game and I still don't trust Mixon.
  16. This weekend will be wet with rain likely Saturday and Sunday. Saturday the rain will be scattered showers until it picks up during evening. Sunday rain could be heavy, winds gusty and temperatures cooling from early morning readings in the 50s to upper 30s by 7pm.
  17. This sounds awkward and I do not mean it that way or negatively but one "good" (?) thing about Lawrence's injury that while the hit was caused by Trey Hendrickson bull rushing the Jax OT into him, no way anyone can blame him for a cheap shot which they undoubtedly would have done if Trey had so much as laid a glove on him. Not only that, but Trey dives over him to prevent further injury. And helps him up as most of his teammates mill around. Not shown here but Trey also took a knee and said a little prayer. Trey Hendrickson is a total class act.
  18. One thought from my parallel universe mind is... I feel better about Jake Browning's back up than I did Joe Burrow's until last night. no
