  1. Exclusive rights free agent Devin Cochran back. This will be his 3rd year with us.
  2. His angles and decision making were terrible at times. He gave up both browns tds and Anarumo said that he was at fault on the big gain for the Chiefs. Anauromo was very frustrated stating that it was a scheme they had run a ton and he just went the wrong way. An easy read
  3. Here is all the coaching interview news so far https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MSjEz87kt7D0pL1p5l_L3-4gRky0x3I6xGnckMmUb1M/edit?usp=sharing
  4. I would add in FS because I think they want to let Hill range more. So they will want a starting capable player.
  5. Added 9 off the practice squad. All futures deals DT Domenique Davis CB Allan George C Nate Gilliam DE Jeff Gunter LB Shaka Heyward WR Shedrick Jackson G Jaxson Kirkland (Practice Squad/Injured list) WR Kwamie Lassiter II WR Kendric Pryor Did not add (Maybe something to do with their age as most have some experience) QB Drew Plitt RB Dominic Felton WR Stanley Morgan LB Clay Johnston S Michael Thomas CB Sidney Jones
  6. Thats something different. Someone hit the 71/70 Bridge in downtown Columbus. I had assumed that it might back all the way up with traffic.

  8. These are the locks I see. 5 starters are definitely back on offense and 8 back on defense. Hill, Volson, and Turner will all likely start but can't lock them in with their play this year. QB Burrow 29 Browning 24 RB Brown 27 WR Chase 26 Iosivas 27 WR WR Jones 27 TE LT Brown 27 LG Volson 26 C Karras 25 RG Cappa 26 RT K McPherson 25 P LS Adomitis 24 LE Hubbard 26 Sample 25 LT RT Hill 25 RE Hendrickson 26 Murphy 27 WLB Pratt 26 MLB Wilson 28 SLB S Battle 27 Anderson 27 S Hill 27 CB Taylor-Britt 26 Turner 27 CB Ivey 27 NB Hilton 25 Davis 25 That's 27 of a 53 already locked in. Add 9 draft picks and you have 36 of the 53. If you take into account who I assume is back it jumps to 40 and 49 QB Burrow 29 Browning 24 RB Brown 27 WR Chase 26 Iosivas 27 WR Higgins 24 Irwin 24 WR Jones 27 TE Sample 24 Hudson 24 Wilcox 24 LT Brown 27 Carman 25 LG Volson 26 C Karras 25 Scharping 24 RG Cappa 26 Ford 24 RT K McPherson 25 P LS Adomitis 24 LE Hubbard 26 Sample 25 Ossai 25 LT RT Hill 25 Carter 26 RE Hendrickson 26 Murphy 27 WLB Pratt 26 Bachie 24 Harper 26 MLB Wilson 28 SLB S Battle 27 Anderson 27 Scott 26 S Hill 27 CB Taylor-Britt 26 CB Turner 27 Ivey 27 NB Hilton 25 Davis 25 I was certain Hurst, Bell, and Perrine were back. That proved wrong. We are likely to start the offseason with this as our roster QB Burrow 29 Browning 24 RB Mixon 25 Brown 27 Evans 25 Felton WR Chase 26 Lassiter Jackson WR Iosivas 27 Morgan WR Jones 27 Pryor TE LT Brown 27 Carman 25 Cochran 24 LG Volson 26 C Karras 25 Hill 25 Gilliam RG Cappa 26 Kirkland 26 RT Smith 25 K McPherson 25 P Robbins 27 LS Adomitis 24 LE Hubbard 26 Sample 25 Ossai 25 LT Tufele 25 Bell 25 Maxwell 26 RT Hill 25 Carter 26 Davis RE Hendrickson 26 Murphy 27 Gunter WLB Pratt 26 Harper 26 Johnston MLB Wilson 28 Heyward SLB S Battle 27 Scott 26 S Hill 27 Anderson 27 CB Taylor-Britt 26 Ivey 27 Jones CB Turner 27 George NB Hilton 25 Davis 25 Needs get a little more clear here. QB-No Need RB-Mixon back or do we save 5.75M WR-Way too much youth TE-The room is empty but I expect all of them back OL-We haven't developed any depth through the draft DE-Room will be tough to break into DT-Room will be easy to break into LB-Depth S-Will add a veteran CB-Probably 5 of the 6 spots are locked down for next year
  9. I am pretty sure Jake Browning doesn't have a market as a starting QB in the NFL. He is an exclusive rights free agent the next two years and then restricted. He;s not getting more than a million in next year or the year after. The only think he could really do is hold out for a trade, I guess. I don't see that happening at all. Here is the QB situation for teams in the offseason Green has a starter QB Allen, Josh 18/1 QB Tagovailoa, Tua 20/1 QB 3rd overall Pick-Pats QB RODGERS, AARON T/GB QB Jackson, Lamar 18/1 QB Burrow, Joe QB Watson, Deshaun QB Stealers-We wouldn't trade QB Stroud, C.J. 23/1 QB Richardson, Athony QB Lawrence, Trevor 21/1 QB Levis, Will 23/2 QB Broncos QB Mahomes, Patrick 17/1 QB Raiders QB Herbert, Justin QB PRESCOTT, DAK 16/4 QB Commanders QB Hurts, Jalen 20/2 QB 2nd overall Pick QB 1st overall Pick QB Goff, Jared T/LAR QB Love, Jordan 20/1 QB Vikings QB Falcons QB Young, Bryce 23/1 QB CARR, DEREK CC/LV QB Mayfield, Baker U/LAR QB Murray, Kyler 19/1 QB STAFFORD, MATTHEW T/Det QB Purdy, Brock 22/7 QB SMITH, GENO U/LAC So that leaves QB needy teams of Patriots, Falcons, Vikings, Raiders, Commanders, Stealers, Bears, Giants, Broncos Patriots have 3rd pick and are probably doing a re-start. Won't be trading for Browning Falcons are probably going after one of 3 available people Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins and trading for Fields. They pick 8th. Won't be trading for Browning. Not sure he is better than Ridder Vikings probably get Cousins back and pick 11th Raiders rookie this year played well Aidan O'Connell. They won't go after Browning but could get another QB Commanders benched their starter and are firing Rivera. They pick 2nd that's a restart waiting to happen Stealers we wouldn't trade with and they somewhat still believe in Picket Bears will have Fields or Caleb Williams Giants probably stick with Daniel Jones. Probably have to. Broncos move on from Wilson So probs Bears-Williams Commanders-Maye Vikings-Cousins Giants-Daniel Jones Stealers-Kenny Pickett Raiders-Aidan O'Connell Falcons-Justin Fields-Trade He is from Atlanta but Russell Wilson makes a lot of sense too. Patriots-? Broncos-? Patriots and Broncos biggest question marks most likely. One of Wilson or Fields will be available to them. Other free agents are Sam Darnold (Just 27) Gardner MinshewI (28) Tyler Huntley (26) Tough to imagine that a team trades for Browning over getting any one of them for free. He is restricted to only signing with us for 2024 (28) and 2025 (29) and then restricted for 2026 (30). That might be enticing for a team. You essentially get a very very cheap rookie contract. The reality is we want our backup QB to want to be a starter. He's probably a top 10 backup QB in the NFL who could start. He will likely be Burrow's backup for at least next year.
  10. I agree those are bigger needs but if you can get a surefire weapon on offense I think you do it. He's pretty can't miss and those other tight ends are hopes. If no Bowers than I say wait until round 4
  11. I completely agree with this plan from @Jamie_B. I did not know you could @ people. This is a game changer
  12. 23 https://www.footballguys.com/stats/snap-counts/teams?team=CIN&year=2023
  13. I am not sure they ever will. I wouldn't let Tee go this year with so much doubt. I think they could next year, but certainly haven't yet.
  14. I was adamant about not keeping him but I think you need at least two very good weapons in an offense, be it WR, RB, TE. We have Chase and Higgins now. Flashes from Brown-Yoshi but they need another year. I think you can get away with starting Joe Mixon, Tanner Hudson, Charlie Jones if you have 2 top end stars at WR. Without it you can't. Obviously, the more playmakers the better. It would be great to have a threat at all 5 spots. 2/5 is the minimum. I think you have 3 guys in Brown, Yoshi and Jones I really like and they could become that. They need another year.
  15. Also covered Freiermuth the week before. I think the solution might be a veteran safety who plays the safety role and Dax Hill moves to covering TEs/blitzing in those situations
  16. Browns assistant OL coach makes most sense probably. https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/team/coaches-roster/scott-peters
  17. There are currently 3 jobs open Panthers-Chargers-Raiders Commanders likely to replace their coach. Patriots might want a coach. That's 5 most likely openings with maybe more? Panthers reportedly want Lions OC. Interviewed him last time and he pulled out. Raiders might stick with Antonio Pierce. They are interviewing Trey Brown for their GM job. Chargers want either Harbaugh or Bellicheck but I assume will get neither. The 49ers offensive tree will be in demand with both the Texans and Dolphins OC's getting interviews. Brian Flores probably gets an interview. Bengals assistant gm could get gm job in New England or Raiders---ties to both. Worked in NE has interviewed for Raiders job twice. That would increase Callahans chances in both places.
  18. I think Brownings success is going to be looked at as a positive for him. Browning had a better passer rating than Burrow this year and they strung together some wins. Taylor's biggest strength is the culture he created and Callahan's a huge part of that. If you ever hear him interviewed he is destined for a head job somewhere. I give it about 50-50 chance this year.
  19. Here is everyone who was interviewed in 2022. Please ignore the colors.
