  1. I'm to lazy to look.....did somebody already pick the punter that everyone's drooling over? don't mean that to sound snarky - I'd like to have him too.
  2. Dax the way.....uh huh uh huh.......I like it......uh huh uh huh
  3. I cant' say he was on my radar but I didn't dive as deep into this draft as in the past. As Kingspoint said, I wasn't worried about this draft either - we didn't have a glaring need and we've been on a roll the last few years. There were a number of good options and I figured we'd nail one of them (except the TE Likely -not in the first round please). Having said all that, this kid looks like he could develop into a stud. His seemingly only weakness - recognition - improved a lot last year and his versatility is pretty rare. His physical traits appear to be borderline ellite - and he's only 21?! I love Jessie Bates but Dax might make that situation a lot easier to deal with. Great pick!
  4. always appreciated your insight and analysis.....long before I started posting here - good stuff
  5. agreed The kid showed quite a bit as a rookie in limited opportunities. I really thought that Zach would cook up more schemes to utilize him. Hopefully that develops - seems like quite a bit of untapped potential there. Nice problems to have.
  6. The golden fleece that Marvin Lewis searched his whole career for. It is indeed glorious.
  7. This has been on mind my as well. With the quarterbacks we have to deal with in the AFC now, we need to be able to get pressure in a big way. I also agree with MichaelWeston about filling in with free agents. Some good names out there still - maybe older, but great as rotational guys.
  8. right there with ya. He just seemed like one of those guys that could be a late round gem. what a gift that would be if he comes back and shines.
  9. well.....that's the thing - you never know who's going to go early and who might fall. If they would take Linderbaum, you kick Karras out to left guard and you've entirely fixed your O-line. Believe me, I'm with you though - I'd rather them bolster the defense.
  10. that's who Mcshay has us picking at 31. I any of you have doubts (as I did - honestly, it was reading some of the "short arms" talk here) go to the draft thread and find the video on page 23 and watch the "locked on Bengals" podcast. It changed my mind.
  11. at this point in free agency, it depends on who they draft.
  12. gotta say, after watching the "locked on Bengals" podcast, I feel a whole lot better about picking him.
  13. I find it amazing the number of well known top tier players still available as free agents. Granted, the majority of those are pretty long in the tooth so mainly short term fixes. It's really nice that we're not desperate for any position upgrade, so there's no reason to throw stupid money around. As it gets later maybe you can get a nice addition at a bargain price. Also - didn't see Tyrann Mathieu on you safety list - he's the best out there and it's not even close......unless he signed and I missed it. Anyway - nice work piecing all this together.
  14. good God what a wimpy whiner he is................. I'd be embarrassed at that as a chief's fan. on the other hand - watching the highlights roll in the background makes me want to watch that game again !(I have it recorded)
  15. what a time to be alive and a Bengals fan! and to all the naysayers - stay tuned
  16. full disclosure - I have paid zero attention to the draft prospects this year having said that.....unless McBride is a clear upgrade from Hurst, I vote no at 31. it depends on how the draft falls - I get it - but we are in a unique position here Need to UPGRADE where we can - or - plug in replacements for short timers You could say McBride would be the next gen at TE and I guess that makes sense but I think our only holes are on the defensive front and back 4. Anyway...should be fun (like everything seems to be lately with this team!) Kinda like opening your birthday gifts
  17. agreed honestly, I'm pretty content with our offense after free agency - sure there's always somebody out there you'd love to sign - BUT If you've read any of my posts, I believe our defense was as big a reason (if not more so) than our offense in the post season run. We need to make sure we're at least as strong on D as last year - if not better. We should be since Ogujobi is the only main player we lost (as of now - who knows?) Having said all that - I'm looking for a good cornerback and another pass rusher
  18. I saw that too sorry -I wasn't trying to be combative. I had never even paid attention to this guy before - honestly didn't know who he was but I was impressed by his speed given his size.
  19. he looks pretty fast in his highlight videos - outrunning secondary guys to the endzone.
  20. when you order - ask for it "juicy" that's how I like it too at least that's a thing down here
