Funny how this comes out after they lose if he were going to the SuperBowl he wouldn't have said anything. Ben is starting look like a poser, first with the Tsumani thing, now this. If players wanted to donate then they knew what they had to do, they didn't a rookie trying to show people up in the press to motivate them, he doesn't have that much clout yet. Furthermore, after he aided his team in losing the AFC Championship game like he did, he should shut up and get ready for next season. No one wants to hear any excuses, especially Cowher.

I like the part about Ben's arm getting tired throughout the season. He averaged 20 pass attempts a game.... Who the Hell gets tired throwing 20 passes a game?!
Roethlisberger didn't specify which toes were broken and wasn't walking with an apparent limp Monday or Tuesday.

``Ben does not have broken toes,'' Cowher said,
His teammates have to be a little bitter with this kid, he gets all the attention for their success and after they fail because of this shitty performance he starts making up injuries and excuses, that's fuckin weak. The more I read this article the less respect I have for Ben. What he did as a rookie was amazing but hearing this makes me think that he had less than I gave him credit for. My arm was tired, I broke my toes; then you see Hines Ward crying, not to mention the Kordell Stewart allegations and one's got to wonder what in the hell is going on Pittsburgh? Hines Ward deserves an oscar for the performance he put on in front of the camara's monday. He wanted to win sooo bad for Bettis, but Bettis can come back next year Hines, get a fuckin grip.

Pittsburgh was lucky to have the success they had with a rookie qb, they should be thankful and realize the odds of them making and winning SuperBowl with a rookie qb is close to impossible. Imagine how it would have looked for a rookie out of the football powerhouse that is Miami of Ohio coming into the NFL and going undefeated en route to a SuperBowl ring, he would have made a mockery of the NFL.

he is paid at most 14,000 for his weekly paycheck, thats if he only gets paid during the 16 weeks of games... so he didnt donate all that much, compared to other athletes.. oneal from the pacers donated 55 thousand, of course trying to get some PR from the brawl, but ben acted liek the second coming like he didnt score a few mil in bonuses for his performance, ....

Shaq has 50x more money than Roethlisberger, so it's not fair to compare Shaq's donation to Bens, in reality Shaq donated nearly nothing for his standards.

i figured id look up the whole stats thing on getting tired...

he threw 495 times, last season.. in just 10-11 games.. completing 342 of 495

this year, regular season = 196 of 295.. he threw 200 LESS times in the NFL as he did in college..he attempted 54 times and completed 29 of those in the playoffs.. so playoffs and regular season he still threw 150 times less than in college..

i think big bitchy ben has been exposed.....

and thats funny......

He's got a movie coming out this summer, Malibu Most Wanted 2 starring Jamie Kennedy, Big Ben, and Vanilla Ice.

Btw BengalsOwn, Go was referring to Jermaine O'neal not Shaq. O'neal got together with six or seven other players who multiplied their point total from a nights game by $1,000 and combined it. O'Neal orginally scored 32 points but he scored 55 a week earlier so he decided to give 55k. I think in all the NBA players gave like 250k combined, ESPN did a story on it a few days ago. An Austrailian soccer game raised like 11 million from telephone donatations and the like, that is amazing.

Squeeler fans have now taken a page out of "Broken Toes" book, they claim they are better than the Pats and they are the "real" AFC champs because they had better stats than the Pats. This is a perfect example of were stats are meaningless and they don't tell the whole story. The only stat that matters is the final score, who cares about yards gained or tackles if you lose, just ask Corey or Takeo.
