He wastes little motion out of his cuts. He has deceptive speed and vertical ability. He can get behind linebackers. His wide frame and good bulk make him a tough matchup for safeties in man-to-man coverage. He can push around defenders and carve out space. He competes for balls in traffic and over the middle. He could be more productive on jump balls and in the red zone if the Vikings go to him more in those situations (as they say they will). He is experienced and knows how to adjust his routes and find holes in zone coverage. His concentration has dramatically improved in recent years. Anyways, it would be nice to have a pass catching threat at that position and without Henry in the first 8 games.......he might come in handy in the red zone if what they say about him is accurate regarding jump balls. Regardless, if Kelly goes down (i hope to god he doesnt) we will have a 2nd year player at TE (who many of us wanted to draft on day 2 two years ago) and it would be nice to have a more proven player for depth as well Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
