You guys need to have casey batting higher than 5 and 6 spot.  He needs to be 3 and maybe 4. I would say this is the best line up. I know Freel wont be starting at secondbase but I would put him there if i was the coach.  I would have Dunn batting 4th instead of Kearns, but I remember seing some stat where Dunn hits a lot better when he is batting 5th instead of 4th.

1. Freel-2b
2. Aurilia-ss
3. Casey-1b
4. Kearns-rf
5. Dunn-lf
6. Griffey-cf
7. Randa-3b
8. Larue-c

Switch Dunn and Kearns.
Griffey and Dunn are Lefteis....kearns is a righty.. u need to stagger the lineup.

Also putting ur HR power back to back is never a good idea IMO.
If you think our Opening Day lineup will be other than: (not batting order)
1b casey
2b Jimenez
SS Aurillia
3b Randa
SP Paul Wilson
LF Dunn
CF Griffey
RF Kearns
C LaRue
...then you are nuts....

Thats the lineup for starting day allright......
batting lineup should go
1. Jimenez
2. Dunn
3. Casey
4. Kearns
5. Griffey
6. Randa
7. Aurillia
8. LaRue
9. Wilson
Dont worry about Dunn getting his ribbies in the 2 spot.. they'll come..
You also have to break up all the lefties back to back hence Kearns in the 4 spot.

this projected lineup was posted on the reds website.

Cincinnati Reds

Pos. Name Bats
1. 2B D'Angelo Jimenez S
2. LF Adam Dunn L
3. 1B Sean Casey L
4. CF Ken Griffey L
5. RF Austin Kearns R
6. 3B Joe Randa R
7. SS Rich Aurilia R
8. C Jason LaRue R
9. P Paul Wilson R

i don't like the idea of having all our lefties grouped together and all the righties grouped together. i would either switch kearns and griffey, or kearns and dunn.
I forget...are there any other switch hitters on the Reds roster besides Jimenez?

And what happened to VanderWal?  Did we only sign him to a one year deal last season?

Just shows me that MIley is as intimidated by Griffey as all the other managers have been... If he goes with that lineup late in the game here comes leftey pitchers and the opposing managers can leave him in there to face 3 straight hitters.. gives the opponents an edge.. Miley is a moron...
Griffey in two hole: In 165 career at-bats at the second position in the batting order, Griffey Jr. has hit .261 with six home runs and 17 RBIs.

Those aren't gaudy numbers, by any means. But for now, that's where the left-handed Griffey will bat against right-handed pitchers.
