Photoshop Elements

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure that I can afford full blown Photoshop until next year (wedding, Christmas presents/travel), but Elements is certainly within my budget. But is it worth it?

Can someone post an example of something creative done with photoshop elements?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I've never used elements. Just steal Photoshop like the rest of us.

The latest in Photoshop. I have Photoshop CS, or version 8.0. the new that was released not too long ago is version 9.0 or CS2. Honestly, they are pretty much the same from what Ive read, but its got some really cool new effects...

They just put cs2 on my Mac at work last week. Haven't had time to play around with it yet.

I guess I need to download it for the PC at home.

Probably shouldn't say. At least not to the world. Don't want my employer to get flooded with farm porn if I piss someone off.

For adobe, you can usually crack the trial version, making it full version.

Yeah I had found a Key, and it let me use it... so far so good, I didnt realize it would turn into a full blown version, I was thinking it would be a 30 day thing.

Cool, so looks like I gots it, if not Ill let you know.

Now I just need to get my dirty little hands on Reason 3.0. :ninja:

so since i barely have the slightest clue about what in the hell any of you are talking about would someone mind filling me in...

photoshop?

is it easy to use, and is it worth "buying?"

if it is, what should i search for and how big of a file is it?

you know, just in case some of the "packages" are mislabeled?

;)

(ive found an "adobe photoshop cs2 9.0 final" at 336,912Kb or "adobe photoshop cs2" at 156,756kb, are either one of these it?)

It is a photo editing software. You can crop, cut, copy, paste, contrast, change image size, desaturate, paint your own stuff, type effects, filters, all kinds of cool stuff.

As far as the size. It usually depends on how many times different files are zipped up in one manner or another. A copy of Maya I found was very small, good for dl, but I had to unzip (use winrar) the file, then unzip separate files within there, twice.
