MichaelWeston
I have been going through a projected offseason and I don't know much about the draft picks so I would love someone else to fill in the draft picks. My planFree Agent signings (The money is just a semi-educated guess)Stocker 2-6M-Blocking TE on a bad teamOdrick 3-12M- An active versatile DL who played LT this year but has played the RT and LE spots. Miami has cap issuesGeorge Johnson 2-5M-He had six sacks this year but might just be an afterthought in Detroit as they have to re-sign both Fairley and Suh.Bruce Carter 3-10M-Carter is a very athletic LB who has played SLB, ILB in a 3-4 and WLB. Injuries are his biggest issue. The Cowboys have 3 of their 4 top LBs up for Free Agency and DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant. Mason Foster 3-10M-Foster has been a solid MLB and decent in coverage. Has played MLB but could play WLB too. TradesGlennon (4)-Trade for our first fourthFree Agent Re-signingsPeerman R2015-Special Teams studTate R2015-I don't love him but he has a role as a KR and PR and wasn't terrible in the offenseBoling R2015-You can't have enough good lineman, and he is versatileWinston R2015-To me he fits the swing tackle well and would be great in the locker roomNugent R2015-Post Panthers game he was greatStill 2014(3)-Solid depth, give him a tender at his draft pick and let him competeLamur 2014(3)-Have to resign him for sure. Give him a 2nd round tenderNewman R2015-Bring him back for depth. He still has something and could play well in a reduced roleMays R2015-Need depth at safety Hall R2015-Hall gets restructured and eventually plays some coverage safety. Letting these guys walk Campbell 2014(10)-Not needed with Glennon here Sanzenbacher 2014(4)-Didn't show anything despite need at the position Smith 2014(10)-Want a a guy who can catch passes at the DL spot Gresham 2014(5)-Its time for him to go Newhouse 2014(5)-Wasn't up to par Maualuga 2014(6)-My biggest question here. After looking at his numbers I think his run stopping numbers are inflated and his coverage stats are so bad and the market has enough guys that we look for a replacement.Draft Pick StrategyT: Rd 1-2 2015 Get an eventual replacement for WhitworthDE: Rd 1-3 2015 Get me a playmaking pass rusherWR:Rd 3+ 2015 Get me a guy who can eventually play the slot as I project Sanu is gone after 2015 Early 4th for Mike GlennonTE: Rd 4+ 2015 Get me a guy who can both block and catch passesDT: Rd 4+ 2015 Get some depth for the spotS: Rd 3+ 2015 Please, please please give me a coverage safety. 2 more spots of your choosing 11-13 UDFA's Feel free to throw in names The only one I know I want is Kendall Montgomery DE BGSU-He is a great athlete who was a recent move from TE. Jason
If Hue is here, Campbell is here, and they don't (except in rare cases) trade picks for players, so I don't see Glennon. And I really think Maualuga is back. I'm on the same page as you draft-wise, so my last mock would fit.
MichaelWeston
I could see both of what your saying happening. I'd like a more versatile player then maualaga because he's such a liability in coverage. One of the leagues worst. He is solid against the run at times. It wouldn't surprise me if Campbell was the backup. At this point I thinkbthey are dillisional about the position.
