Look at the hose distinctive helmets.

He and George Allen put up some fine seasons back in the day

He oversaw a pre-Dick Vermeil upswing for the Eagles in 1973.

 

They didn’t have a great record—but their passing offense was something to behold for the time. Really exciting team. 
 

Their secret? Gabriel was asked what made them go. 
 

He replied: “All I have to do, is fire high”


He was 6’5”. His receivers, Harold Carmichael (6’8”), Don Zimmerman (6’4”) and TE Charle Young (6’5”). 


The Fire High Gang. 
 

And the helmets were…unique
