  1. Ty Hamilton went to the Rams in the 5th round.
  2. I think this is basically true. Many variables are in play to determine whether any player succeeds. Health, opportunity, team environment, etc. Luck is certainly part of that. “Smart” teams in any pro sport still need some level of fortune to actually have success.
  3. I like this pick and was calling for a Day 3 RB. He’s a workhorse that can do it all. Also a captain and Academic All American.
  4. Safety I would agree, but not DT. They’re four deep with Hill, Slaton, Jenkins, and Jackson. Probably only going to keep 9 total DL. RG is possible but I wouldn’t say it’s likely. They have Patrick, Ford, Kirkland, and the two rookies.
  5. Ok finally a pick we can like.
  6. Lol imagine if they didn’t take a huge risk🤔
  7. I don’t think you can criticize Stewart for character, effort, etc. By all accounts, he was loved at A&M and did the right things. The on field stuff is fair game, though.
  8. Baltimore and Philly are both being praised for taking Starks and Campbell, respectively. I would have been happy with either guy and I expect both will be plug and play starters.
  9. Ok cool he did it in practice at the Senior Bowl. Didn’t really see him do it in 3 years at A&M, mostly just bull rushes. I’m going to need to see it in games to believe it. Bottom line is he needs development and this team doesn’t have the track record to get the benefit of the doubt. Hope he proves me wrong and will gladly admit I was wrong if he does.
  10. I’ve read others also suggest his best role could be on the interior, not the edge. The bull rush is pretty much his only move at this point, but he rarely finishes it with a play. He averaged about 3 pressures a game last year, which is pretty good. Despite the athleticism, he’s not someone who can bend the edge and his technique is raw overall. As far as playing the run, he’s all effort and can chase with the best of them. But again, he doesn’t make many run stops and he misses tackles often by overrunning and over aggression. I guess we can hope for the best, but it’s delusional to not have concerns with using another high pick on a developmental player.
  11. 🤮is the best answer It’s the old saying, hope in one hand and shit in the other then see which one fills up first.
  12. They didn’t have to take him. Sometimes, like with Ross, you can see it coming. I hope he proves me completely wrong and will be the first to admit it.
  13. Cleveland did very well tonight. Traded down 3 spots, ended up with Mason Graham, a 2nd and 4th this year, and a 1st next year.
  14. Do the Bengals watch the Senior Bowl and take the rest of the year off? Did they watch Stewart’s 37 career games? How did a few days reps outweigh the other? I’m sure the combine helped their decision making. This smells like John Ross.
  15. He was my puke pick so I guess I win something.
  16. Ok assuming everything you say is true. Again, best we can hope for is he can make things easier for other players but he’ll always give effort. I might take that.
  17. Insane take. There are literally hundreds of players with “physical gifts “ who fail. He played with talent around him and yet barely showed up in the box score.
  18. If you believe this is the team to unleash his potential, go ahead. I’m very skeptical.
  19. Based on what exactly? Irrational enthusiasm? The guy was surrounded by NFL talent and barely produced. Apparently the best case scenario is him lining up inside on passing downs.
  20. And you believe this organization is the one to turn the light on. I am lacking in faith.
  21. So the best case scenario is that he plays out of position on passing downs? I can live with that.
  22. Not a good day for the Bengals. I will be shocked if they can develop this guy.
  23. I think Tee changing his agent was a major factor in the deal happening. There’s no package deal with him and Chase without getting rid of Mulugheta.
  24. The Rams relocation led to a lawsuit with St. Louis, which ended with a $790 million settlement in 2021. Then there’s the relocation fees, which most recently cost the Rams/Chargers $645 million and the Raiders $378 million in 2017. It’s very costly to move a team and I don’t see the Brown family having much of an appetite to pony up that kind of coin, even if they can land a sweetheart stadium deal from another city.
  25. I can see that being the case. I’ve been saying a Day 3 pick at RB is likely for awhile. From the chatter I have heard, there’s something like 30 plus players with draft-able grades. That’s not gonna happen which means some of them will end up as UDFA.
