  1. Well y'know there's clown behavior then there's letting your ex-con BIL magdump a pistol AK at high school kids playing with nerf guns on your suburban lawn. For perspective, you know. It wouldn't be hard to replace his production and maybe even get a blocking RB in the bargain.. but what about all the smiles...
  2. A couple of ours may as well have been... In Burrow's 2 full seasons he was the most sacked QB in the NFL. Result? 1-1 in back to back AFCC games. What other QB's done that without being a run-first type like Vick? To put it another way, you think Mahomes is going to even one AFCC while taking more sacks than any other QB? It's an insane accomplishment both for individual effort and for the team letting that happen a second time. Most teams giving up sacks like that are lucky to have a break-even season. To put it yet another way, imagine what Burrow could do behind the Chiefs OL. Then, despite the beating he's taking thanks to our goofshit FO, he signs an extension instead of jumping ship for more money and probably fewer injuries elsewhere. No complaints, just goes back to rehabbing on the latest trip to IR. So yeah.. Y'all can have Kermit.
  3. What makes anyone think Mahomes is better than a guy he's 3-1 against & has only beat with the help of a 5th down do-over from the refs? or Dak Prescott? He's just Andy Dalton with a bigger ad budget. If he played for someone like Jacksonville he'd be an afterthought.
  4. Bengals fans before the season even started: "Probably gonna franchise Higgins" Every sports journo in February: "Bengals may franchise Higgins!" hit send, take 3 day weekend.
  5. This draft is top heavy with WR's that could do absolutely nothing in the NFL on a rookie contract. I get your point about this year's rookie pool vs last's but Higgins has actually gone out there and done it consistently. He's going to get paid accordingly but you're right, these teams drafting in the the top 10 would rather save money & roll the dice. That's part of why they're holding those picks.
  6. Dude sells the route, really good vision setting up his blockers and finding soft spots in coverage. Some nice contested catches as well. Might have to learn the hard way when to go for YAC and when to just make the catch and protect himself, he's not going to juke NFL safeties that easily. Looks pretty seasoned for a college kid overall though, like he could be getting snaps right away.
  7. IDK who he is but I want McConkey on the team.
  8. OL & more recently the secondary. Everywhere else they match up well enough to beat anybody. Far as Zac goes we're comparing 5 years of NFL head coaching XP with Reid's 25. With that in mind my only complaints with him are with trying to do both the HC and OC job. He seems to lose the plot on one or the other at times, I think it's too much for him to juggle right now, maybe give it another go in 2 decades.
  9. You could see he was beat down when he came out near the end of the 4th. It was right after he got hit going out of bounds on a play very much like the one Ossai made against Mahomes. KC were hitting him late and twisting his ankles, going at him even when he wasn't involved in the down. It was obviously part of their plan to light him up.
  10. what do you say, Gene? "Ohhh I don't know! He put his left foot in and took his left foot out, but did he complete the action of the hokeypoke? Let's wait for New York!"
  11. No worries, just let the Chiefs OL hold when it counts
  12. That is at least 5 or 6 chains, do not try to bamboozle us sir. At the moment I find myself wholly uninterested in 4+ hours of Taylor Swift Reacts.
  13. A big part of that is their whole routine & belief system is based on envisioning themselves as a majority rather than a lunatic fringe. Therefore the election has to be "stolen", because the idea that a majority of voters looked at them and recoiled in horror requires far too much self examination. Once again marginalizing themselves but unfortunately also selecting for the most unhinged and prone to violence in the process. Terrorist groups are never a majority, they derive their power from those acts of violence. That's where we are right now but we're slow to admit it because it's white folks that are otherwise mainstream in their day-to-day lives... right up to the point they shoot up a Walmart or try to assassinate someone & then we ignore the trend, examine where they got their ideas or go after who supported them and instead treat it as some isolated mental health issue.
  14. Hate to break it to you but the largest group receiving government assistance would be rural whites, predominantly in the South & Appalachia, and it's not even close. Not real sure why you guys still have such a hard-on for Chicago, Obama isn't running again and it's been what, 7 years? Yet it's still the go-to racism dog whistle. Chicago is a really fun diverse city with a ton of history & culture and unless you're fighting over territory to sell drugs (predominantly to, guess what, white folks yet again) you're probably not going to have any issues. Really weird thing to keep harping on & shows a disconnect with reality in favor of pushing an agenda. Are the Democrats pandering? Yeah definitely. I guess it still looks better than a presidential candidate calling them rapists & gang members?
  15. What exactly are conservatives actually conservative about? Fine with insurrection, fine with rape or marital infidelity, fine with pedophiles, fine with insane government spending on boondoggles like a border wall, no problem at all with the government legislating people's private lives... Republicans are just the party of bigotry. If you don't hate gay/trans people or minorities there's really not a whole lot left of substance there. Other than being in a die-hard cult for the most obvious narcissistic conman imaginable, that is. The only reason they're still relevant is because they've shown they're both willing and eager to resort to mob violence and terrorism, Meanwhile however that's also marginalizing them by self-selecting for the most batshit of supporters. Not a great long term strategy but hey being a little pee-pants baby screaming about ridiculous shit like M&M's not being sexy enough or whatever the fuck nonsense outrage-du-jour is spoonfed to them does keep them in the news for now.
  16. In the context of not being worth a 7th overall pick, which is kind of ridiculous when you think about it. Some of these GMs would rather play a scratch-off ticket.
  17. Which I find interesting considering Tee's stat line vs whichever line of straight zeroes posted by any WR pick that might come off the board in the top 10. He's only 25 and would be the immediate WR1 on all but a handful of teams. Not potential, not in the right system, not when he learns to beat press coverage or a route tree or "gets up to NFL speed". Proven production on a SB team that would immediately elevate any franchise he lands with. But sure, why give up a magic draft bean for that?
  18. Oh that much is clear, they just flushed an entire season making a bad LT play at RT for no good reason beyond guaranteed money. I would guess that decision cost them a hell of a lot more than Jonah's $13M which was already spent either way but that's our Bengals. Our FO would eat a bowl of wax fruit before admitting they made a mistake biting into it in the first place.
  19. He could be the worst RB in history and drunkenly crash his car through the front door of a Skyline & unless he kills someone he is still going to play out his final year here. The people at the top just don't care that much, they're more interested in Good Boy Points and everyone thinking they are nice while they stack more money and think of more excuses to stay $50+ million under the cap every season. Being good at your job or not being a public menace are entirely optional. Just smile a lot and you can retire here, no problem.
  20. I want to see the refs win in favor of San Francisco. Want the officiating to finally get so bad that they're forced to clean it up. Also for KC to experience the stinky end of that stick.
  21. Probably? Apparently he's both too valuable to trade and not valuable enough to be worth trading... 🧠
  22. Yeah if they do trade him I think it'd take at least a 2nd & probably an early one at that.
  23. They need to do that regardless. They're drafting prospects, not players. Mims may be a bigger risk but none of them come with guarantees.
  24. or.. they don't trust their own people to turn the pick into a quality starting OT/OL.
