  1. I didn't catch who he was assigned to block but Sample just got buried.
  2. He might sometimes be slightly above average as a pass blocker against average opponents. I never got the logic with his move to RT, you replace the guy but move him to a new position as what, a consolation prize? Some kind of experiment, with your newly-minted 1/4 Billion dollar QB in the balance? Should've traded him when they had a chance. Can't tell a player they're not good enough where you've had them starting for years but hey maybe he can play TE?
  3. While I admit there is some doubt as to the culprit, there is little doubt that Jonah is not a very good OT. The fact that we're not sure which of our shitty OL actually caused the injury this time only highlights the problem,
  4. In my state I think you're allowed 6 plants, which is still kinda goofy if you understand the cloning process or even the basic life cycle of plants... but unless you're doing some commercial scale shit like that church no one seems to be too pressed about it.
  5. That is a huge difference for a game that I might just skip. I know they have to pretend to "be competitive" but this looks like a team that's only there so they don't get fined.
  6. Well you guys (Ohioans) got recreational now, so prepare for barcode weed that's all 15% THC or stronger but has your full government name stickered to it, not to mention all these extracts that have your nephew drooling on the couch all day.. A buying experience intended to make you feel like a junkie at a methadone clinic with all the ambiance of a head shop if it was designed by a very paranoid CVS or Walgreen's. Like, it's certainly cool, but it ain't that cool. Nothing like "getting a mason jar of homegrown from some old hillbilly" cool. At least, if it follows the blueprint of other states so far.. Yeah it's legal, but they aren't happy about it and you will definitely be reminded of that in the process. tl;dr = don't buy it, grow it.
  7. Hey guys Jonah "only" allowed 6 sacks from the right side with his QB running for his life every snap! Who cares if he also got that MVP QB knocked out for the year? Jonah has improved kind of I guess and that's the main thing, right? That he tried? We don't need a running game anyway. JFC. "Maybe not always as bad as expected" is not a reason to bring him back!
  8. You mean against the cap? Would probably depend on when exactly he signs it but I'll worry about the Bengals running out of cap space when it happens. That's not been an issue so far, to put it mildly.
  9. Never mind the draft. Rookies are magic beans, they're not a guaranteed quick fix. They need FA's that can do a good enough job to make the rookies earn first string. Handing that to them along with their jersey on draft day is how you get a soft & entitled team. We know Tee & Reader will be among the best players on the market at their positions. The draft's a bunch of nobodies until proven otherwise. Franchise tag Higgins and they're still $50M under the cap to get DJ extended & go fishing again for real OL/TE help. Hang our hopes entirely on draft picks instead & we'll be talking about this too soon again next season.
  10. Think he's been inactive on game days, he was vs Pitt
  11. That pose with the 4 fingers was made popular by Florida rap, wouldn't necessarily assume they are affiliated. Same with the crossed fingers making a "W" for "West Coast" I mean maybe they're in a gang but I wouldn't jump to conclusions just based on that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKTDRqQtPO8
  12. I disagree, everyone on this team is replaceable except Burrow. Not saying it would be easy or that the FO is capable of doing it, but he's the only one in that category.
  13. Scouting reports I looked at said he's a willing blocker and gets after it but doesn't quite have the size or strength to move people. "Basically OK" would be fine if the RT lining up next to him was also basically OK.
  14. Which one of them is married to some cute blonde lady that's probably loyal & making a good living without actual brain damage as an occupational hazard & which one is a scrub for the 6-6 Seahawks that's pushing 30, trifling with a nameless string of social media thots looking for someone to fund their lip injections, & staring down a future of random daytime appearances on local AM sports radio. Yeah, yikes bro.
  15. AJ McGeetGeetGottaSlopDemHogsMaSkeeterNASCARExtraSideOfRanchDressingSkoalBanditsCoorsSilverBulletRollinCoalInMyDualieTruckWayBetterThanKennyPickett come on down!
  16. Kind of crazy how the biggest pro sports league in America can have the biggest sports betting website as a sponsor. Seems legit!
  17. And I'd be happy to come out of the draft with 4-5 OL.. but if that play was blocked perfectly Mixon would probably get 7-8 yards. He's probably not going to bounce one outside, turn the corner on anyone, break anybody's ankles, run through a tackle or hit the jets and outrun somebody to the end zone. Dude used to have a nasty stiff arm, where's that gone? And most damning of all, he doesn't block for the best QB in the NFL. That alone should have him standing on the sideline. But he smiles a lot so I guess none of that other stuff matters here at Mikey's Jubilee Family Fun Center.
  18. Watching DBs get pummeled all day by Rudi then have to turn around and try to cover Chad. Ain't happening. Get another back that'll dish it out & blocks like that behind a decent OL and this offense would be absolutely lethal. Though, I admit, it's mostly about the OL.
  19. Yeah but he ain't the solution either. He will get what's put in front of him and that's it. Dude's not a playmaker anymore, he's JAG.
  20. Think we need at least one of those somewhere on the line
  21. Top half of the 2nd shouldn't be much of a project, but...
  22. S'why I want one in the first round, takes most of the guess work out of it. Tobin, Pollack, and whatever Brown/Blackburn relative they have scouting OL apparently can't identify or develop talent so let Mel Kiper's Big Board decide. Then draft more OL in every odd numbered round plus any additional comp/trade picks & hope at least one of the bunch can play without much coaching. If they're not going to upgrade the coach or hire real scouts then it'll have to be the shotgun approach. With all these raw college kids never putting a hand in the dirt that's probably the move anyway. We've had technically-best Dennis Roland, extended Bobby sHart, now Volson is headed to the HoF (they should've asked in what sport) and that's not even half the clowns we've stuffed in the car. Purgatory is a neutral place, this is some layer of OL hell.
