I would guess around 8 mill for Trent? But I would be ok if they gave 10. If 7 or under it's a huge steal.

Trent Brown is one of the best rated OT in the NFL when pass blocking on an island. That is what the Bengals do most of the time. A win/win. 😎

Even if they take an OT at 18 (Mims, Latham etc) they aren't beating out Tent Brown in training camp, or the regular season likely. The only way they still see the field is if there's an injury. So it would most likely be a redshirt year for them. Which is ideally what you want on good teams. This likely plays into the idea of taking a Murphy, DeJean, or Bowers instead, who could see snaps week 1.

Also, I still want Becton as a 6th man, backup OT, and potential challenger at LG. There's no reason why this deal should eliminate bringing in Becton for depth. Then they can finally cut Carman's trash ass.

Why any team would ever do a 1 year deal I don't know. 🤔 It only benefits the player and makes them way more expensive if they do well. Whereas if they do bad and have a 2 year deal you can just cut them anyway. Now if Gesicki or Trent Brown have pro bowl seasons they will end up leaving for a big payday elsewhere. 🤨

Huge signing (literally and figuratively) 🧡 🖤 My only quibble would be I would have preferred a 2 year deal.
