  1. At the time of the final report going live, only one player was listed as out: LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (Out) CB Chidobe Awuzie (Questionable) LB Devin Harper (Questionable) WR Tee Higgins (Questionable) DT Josh Tupou (Questionable) That first full practice for Higgins was the first since his rib injury on October 1, so it’s potentially a sign he’ll be good to go, barring something unexpected during warmups on Sunday. It’s a similar vibe for top cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, who aggravated a back issue last week and missed the win over the Cardinals. Bengals coaches want to gauge his readiness — and that of all four 50-50 guys — before kickoff. Josh Tupou is a new addition to the report, while rookie Myles Murphy is back off of it and good to go after a personal matter. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Tupou will be inactive. Wonder if there has been any thought to snatching Big Johnson III off the Detroit (?) practice squad to our 53 and trying to get Tupou on to our practice squad? Doesn't seen to be a lot of help stopping the run.
  2. Isley Brothers founding mender. The Pride of Lincoln Heights and, imho, THE Best Rock and R&B group ever. Up there with Little Richard and Chuck Berry for making rock and roll great. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/entertainment/music/2023/10/12/rudolph-isley-obituary-isley-brothers/ Cincinnati native Rudolph Isley, founding member of The Isley Brothers, dies at 84 Singer-songwriter Rudolph Isley, one of the founding members of the R&B group The Isley Brothers, has died. He was 84. Isley's brother Ronald confirmed his death in a statement to USA TODAY Thursday. A cause of death was not disclosed. TMZ was the first to report the news. "There are no words to express my feelings and the love I have for my brother," Ronald said. "Our family will miss him. But I know he's in a better place." Comprised of brothers Rudolph, Marvin, O'Kelly, Ronald and Ernie Isley and rounded out with musician Chris Jasper, the Isleys formed in Cincinnati and at one time included five brothers. Raised in Lincoln Heights and Blue Ash, brothers O'Kelly, Rudolph, Ronald and Vernon Isley started out singing in church. They began performing together in 1954 and appeared on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour, winning the competition. The group disbanded in 1955 after 13-year old Vernon was struck and killed by a car as he was riding his bike in his neighborhood. (**Vernon was hit and killed by a Mr Softee ice cream truck) n 1957, with their parents' blessing, the remaining brothers decided to regroup and move to New York, with brother Ronnie assuming lead vocals. They signed with RCA Records and in 1959 wrote and recorded their first hit, "Shout." They scored their first Top 40 single with Scepter Records in 1962 with the song "Twist and Shout." In 1964, they left Scepter and formed T-Neck Records, with Jimi Hendrix playing lead guitar for the brothers' band on several singles. In 1969, the brothers signed a distribution deal with Buddah Records and found success with "It's Your Thing," which reached #2 on the Hot 100 singles chart. e Isley Brothers are the only act to have singles reach the Billboard Hot 100 during the 1950s, 1960s, 1970, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Rudolph Isley was one of the group's primary songwriters and co-wrote the Brothers' breakthrough "Shout," released in 1959. After being immortalized in the 1978 comedy "Animal House," the song has been used as a rallying cry at sporting events ever since. The group went on to enjoy other hits with songs such as "Twist and Shout," "It's Your Thing," "That Lady" and "Fight The Power." When their song "Contagious" climbed the charts in 2001, it gave them the distinction of being the act with the longest chart span on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart at 42 years. The Isley Brothers have been nominated for multiple Grammy awards and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2014, the band also received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Recording Academy. They were inducted into the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame in 2021. The band was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June 2022. Representing the group at the ceremony were Elaine Isley Goodstone, Ernie Isley and Ronald Isley. During the induction, Ernie Isley reminded guests that their early hit “Shout” was recorded six decades ago and the reach of their music would go on for years, prompting the Beatles to cover them. The two men then joined up for a medley of hits that included “That Lady," “It’s Your Thing” and “Between the Sheets.” (Ernie, the youngest and late comer to the group plays the brilliant guitar solo on "Who's That Lady")
  3. Ironic... https://bengalswire.usatoday.com/2023/10/13/bengals-call-broncos-samaje-perine-trade/ Bengals should call Broncos about a Samaje Perine trade
  4. Both Myles Garrett and Za'Darius Smith both in the top ten. yipes! Trey slightly > Chase Young
  5. True. Too bad they don't have the same luxury with Irv Smurf Jr Hudson > Smurf
  6. We come down from the second level. The trick is when everyone is in a crush going out of the stadium we go back in and around missing the crowd on the concourse.
  7. For us... A trick my son and I have discovered is that when you make it down to the Plaza level, stay inside the stadium until you reach the exit for Gate D which leads directly to The Banks and N/S streets into downtown. Most people rush to get out of the stadium and cause a mass of humanity on the concourse. Much quicker to avoid that and stay in the stadium making your way to the exit rather than fighting the drunke herd outside. JMHO
  8. Today's Sunday weather forecast. Sounds like a good day for football "Behind the cold front, temperatures will drop to the 50s on both Saturday and Sunday. Light showers also will be possible throughout both days. Bengals fans, get your rain gear ready. It won’t rain much Sunday but being wet with temperatures in the 50s means you will be uncomfortable chilly." https://www.fox19.com/weather/
  9. That's what I thought, too. Trevone missed the hand off and Joe was standing there with a live ball and nowhere to go.
  10. Unfortunately, that has been more of a problem than usual this season. Ref some of the previous comments about the "game day experience" and excessive drinking, etc. I hope the herd thins as the season progresses. One tip is to run for the exit as soon as the game ends, Joe takes a knee, etc. A lot of people stay to celebrate and you can beat them out the gate.
  11. Scoreboard Watch... Go Tennatucky beat the Rats at 9:30 in the morning our time. Go San Francisco beat the Turds Go Bye Week beat the Squeels Go Us
  12. The offensive line that the Cleveland Browns have fielded has not been up to the standard that has been set by offensive line coach Bill Callahan and head coach Kevin Stefanski through the previous three seasons. Much of this falls into the lap of left tackle Jedrick Wills, who has continued to struggle and has plateaued after a promising rookie season.
  13. Are you ruling Tee out already? I mean, I dunno. Tee seems to have fallen out of favor on the board and not sure why. Everyone has bad games. I still like the guy a lot.
  14. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/vikings-justin-jefferson-hit-ir-suffering-injury-vs-chiefs Vikings' Justin Jefferson to hit IR after suffering injury vs Chiefs: report Jefferson is the reigning Offensive Player of the Year The Minnesota Vikings will reportedly place star wide receiver Justin Jefferson on injured reserve after he suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Jefferson will miss at least the next four games of the regular season. The Vikings have tough games against the Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons on their schedule.
  15. Travis Kelce leaves game with non-contact injury After the Minnesota Vikings took the lead 13-10 on the Kansas City Chiefs, tight end Travis Kelce got hurt on the ensuing drive. He left the game, headed to the locker room and didn’t return. When non-contact injuries happen, it oftentimes ends up in a season-ending injury. ACL tears and Achilles tendon injuries are the usual culprits. The difference with Kelce’s injury is that it doesn’t look like a soft tissue injury. It looked to happen to his foot. Taylor Swift was bit at the game, Kelce is yesterday's papers
