I never contended at any time that Ben's absences were the TOTAL reason we lost any game. Regardless of WHO the QB has the defense still has a job to do. If they don't do it, then they are ALSO part of the reason they lost. The difference is that you Bengal fans fail to want to recognize that your D was JUST AS instrumental in your loss as the loss of Carson was. You all seem to think that Carson is THE DELIVERER and regardless of what happens on the other side of the ball he is going to deliver a win. Doesn't work that way, old schooler.....when your D can't stop an offense (witness the playoff game) it only makes it that much HARDER for your offense. It does not in any way make it EASIER. Fact is, you needed to count on turnovers to win that game. You didn't get them...even though we played from behind most of the game.

I`d say Kitna not having anywhere near the arm that Palmer has, the game plan
having to be changed, Kitna throwing 2 INT`s, fumbling, and failing to lead
the offense to score any points in the 2nd half had more to do with the loss
than the Defense.

Of course our Defense was the weak link this season.
But they did enough to win with Palmer as the QB.
And with Kitna there was to much pressure put on them.
Which obviously was also the case for the Steelers without Ben.

And funny you said the Bengals needed turnovers to win.
When the Steelers never had a lead until Kitna started
turning it over...
