i agree w/ all that you just said but want to make a point...

the confirmation process should be harder than it used to be, but these hearings weren't the blueprint or anything... this was simply a hearing to find out one issue (roe v wade) and they are useless... but the questions and the nomination should be hard... in other words, ginsburg should be confirmed as easily as ann coulter would be confirmed (neither should)... the system should be set up to be able to stop the president a little better, when they nominate extreme canidates... but in these 2 cases, they weren't in most poeple eyes...

the system needs to be a little better...

When someone enters an office for life....I think people have a right to know everything possible about them and their pas rulling.

i agree... that is my (unsaid) point... a lifetime appointment can equal 20, 30, 40, up to 50 years of ruling...
