We are so fucked this year.
We're going to be better than last year, but still a club that hovers around .500 unless our pitching really hits it's stride (which it can, but I wouldn't hold my breath).
We're going to see our Reds winning/losing a lot of 8-7, 7-6, 10-9 type games with our offense and pitching combo, I think....

i thought wagner was out of options, glad he isnt tho.

i dont like denorfia i hope he is gone very soon.

Abad turned my head. And if Edwin can perform anywhere NEAR what he's been having during Spring, I'll be happy....
Again though, we need a big lift from our starting pitching. They HAVE to eat some innings up or come late June/July, the bullpen will be shredded yet again and we will lose 3/4ths of our remaining games from there on out just like last season.
I don't care much really if they are bad, just don't start off looking pretty and grabbing the divisional lead, getting my hopes all up and then <<poof>> we're horrible, like we did the last few seasons....

With the worst farm teams in the league, its going to take this new ownership time to build because were not a big market big spending team and most of our talent will have to come from the farm system, we can do some things to stay competitive but its going to be a long road back to prominance. But from what Ive read about these new owners it will come.

I say we get fourth this year. We will finish above both pittsburgh and the brewers.

The lineup doesnt look as good as last year, but maybe we are in for suprise.

um....the brewers have a legit shot at winning the division lol. The worst team is Pitt, then it is a crap shoot. We could easily compete for the division with a healthy lineup and all the players doing what they are expected to do. Claussen with another year should be more consistent, Harang is a beast, Arroyo if he does wat he did last year, and our deeper bullpen this year could put us in contention AFTER the trade deadline, but that is a big if.

I think STL will win it, but Houston, Chicago, Cincinnati and Milwuakee all have a chance. Everyone is big on houston, but i think with Clemens gone for ATLEAST a good chunk of the year they wont be as big of a contender as expected.

I thikn the division will end up:
1) STL
2) Mil
3) Cincy
4) Houston
5) Chicago
6) Pitt

Chicago should blow this year cuz the odds of Wood/Prior and even Zambrano (gonna be overworked) being healthy is slim to none.
